announces the first multi-player war game, A LINE IN THE SAND. This new
war game is based on TSR's board game, also entitled A LINE IN THE SAND.

The Middle East -- hot, dry, and vast open space -- is where the player or
players Will battle, using land, air, chemical and nuclear weapons. There
are two historical scenarios based on the 1991 Iraq war and four
hypothetical scenarios: Holy War, Israel Surrounded and two Diplomatic
options. The player or players find themselves having to make decisions in
the heat of battle based on the politics at hand.

Six different countries can be represented in each scenario with its own
objects, rules and weapons. Players move their units around the map,
attack and capture enemy units, airfields, cities and weapons. This must
be accomplished to complete the computer-generated goal.

"A LINE IN THE SAND is a multi-player game which provides multi-functions,"
said Kathleen Watson, SSI Director of Marketing. "Each time through, the
game will offer players new scenarios, outcomes and agendas."

The battles are charged with dynamic sounds from IBM including AdLib, Sound
Blaster and PC Speaker, as well as vivid, explosive action through IBM
graphics.

The multi-player options allow for flexible play of 1 to 2 hours or complex
strategies lasting 6 to 12 hours.

A LINE IN THE SAND is now available for the IBM with the suggested retail
price of $39.95.
