and InfoWorld

* "Win 100" award from Windows Magazine
* "1993 Windows Recommended" from Windows Magazine
* "Buyers Assurance Seal" from InfoWorld

Redwood City Calif., February 22--Approach 2.0 for Windows was recently
recognized as a superior database product by two publications. First,
Approach won the prestigious "Win 100" award in the database category from
Windows Magazine and received the "1993 Windows Recommended" seal after
scoring an impressive straight-A report card in a variety of categories
including ease of learning, ease of use, speed and power.

According to Windows Magazine, "Approach was easier to learn and is easier
to use [than FileMaker Pro]...I found myself moving back to Approach when
I needed to get things done quickly and efficiently."

Additionally, Approach received the InfoWorld "Buyers Assurance Seal."

"Approach 2.0 for Windows is a well-thought-out piece of software. Its
designers not only understand real world data applications, they obviously
spent some time studying how to make a database usable," said InfoWorld.

"It is very gratifying that both Windows Magazine and InfoWorld recognize
that Approach is uniquely qualified to meet the needs of business users,
who require ease-of-use, high performance and compatibility with existing
DOS, SQL and mainframe standards," said Kevin Harvey, President of
Approach Software Corporation.
