SOFTWARE GROVE MESSAGES NETWORK 1.0 RELEASED

New LAN software from Software Grove Corp. enhances phone message delivery,
viewing and printing.

February 16, 1993 -- Kirkland, WA -- Software Grove Messages Network ("the
phone messaging system everyone already knows how to use") was today
released by Software Grove Corporation of Kirkland, Washington.

The new software is titled Software Grove Messages because Windows users
can simply fill out a "MESSAGE" form on their PC screens (the form looks
just like the pink or blue forms often titled "IMPORTANT MESSAGE") and the
messages are automatically delivered across the network. The new software
runs under Microsoft Windows on IBM compatible PCs with most popular LANs
(Novell, LANtastic, Microsoft, Banyan and others) and Microsoft's Windows
for Workgroups.

Software Grove Messages Network has key advantages for both people who
receive phone messages and for people who take phone messages. People who
receive phone messages never have to wonder if they got messages while on
the phone, they don't have to go to the message center to pick up
messages, and they don't have to decipher quickly scrawled names and
numbers. People who take phone messages never having to search for a pad,
don't have to leave their computer, can be automatically building a
company "Rolodex" for regular callers, and can effortlessly provide
back-up copies and caller reports. For users not on the network, Messages
Network can print on standard paper or on the four-up, perforated pink
message paper supplied with the package.

Messages Network provides the following important capabilities:

1. Instantaneous visual and/or audible notification of
   waiting messages.
2. Notes capturing important follow-up details can be
   added to messages.
3. Easy searching for back up copies of messages, either
   printed or on-screen.
4. Messages can be sent to individual recipients or groups.
5. Easy entry of messages with automatic filling of fields
(date, time and message taker, and company name and
   telephone number for repeat callers).
6. For users not on the network or when special occasions
arise, messages can be printed in formats including
four-per-page, one-per-page, Call Tracker forms, compact
   listings, and full caller reports.
7. Messages can be taken and sent from any node on the network.
8. Messages can be editable or password protected and encrypted.

The October 1992 issue of Secretary Magazine says: "If you've ever
scribbled a phone message that you were later unable to decipher, or had
one of those little pink message slips disappear from your desk just when
you needed it, then [Software Grove Messages] may be for you."

According to John Grove, President of Software Grove: "We've all seen how
message passing is enhanced by E-mail, but we also all know how little
time there is for training, so we saw an opportunity to provide the
interface that everyone already knows for message passing - the
all-to-familiar phone message form - and make the secretary's and everyone
else's life easier. We have, simply put, provided a message pad on
everyone's computer screen. The results of automating phone message taking
is far greater than just improved productivity for secretaries and
everyone else who takes messages, but for companies from 2 to thousands of
employees, everyone who receives a message will be more productive. And
managers will appreciate the caller reports and back-up message copies. "

Software Grove Messages Network operates under Microsoft Windows 3.0/3.1.
Messages Network is compatible with Client-Server and Peer-to-Peer
networks, including Novell Netware and Netware Lite, Artisoft LANtastic,
Microsoft LAN Manager and Windows for Workgroups and Banyan Vines. Mixed
Windows and DOS networks are fully supported.

Software Grove Messages Network for Windows is immediately available at
$249.00 for a five node package, $399.00 for a 10 node package, or $599.00
per server. The single-user version (supporting paper output) is priced at
$69.95. A 60-day money back guarantee is provided. Distributors for
Software Grove Messages include Ingram Micro, Daiseytec, American Software
& Hardware, Tiger Software, MicroWarehouse and Global Computer Supplies.
