MicroBiz Broadens Marketing Effort

February 8, 1993 -- MicroBiz, Corp., is launching an all-out effort to
broaden consumer awareness and trial of its business automation systems.
The plan calls for the introduction of two new product lines to supplement
the company's Controller Series software. The two new product will be
priced below The Controller Series and offer fewer features.

Clear Upgrade Path...

By offering a lower priced alternative, MicroBiz will be able to reach a
much broader, very price sensitive audience that has so far been reluctant
to make the investment in a complete POS (Point-of-Sale) system. This same
audience has not been addressed by MicroBiz Resellers, due to the low
return on investment.

These new products will be marketed directly to the consumer. They offer a
clear upgrade path to The Controller Series. "It is our intention to
generate a low-risk revenue stream for MicroBiz Resellers this way", said
Craig Aberle, President of MicroBiz.

Multi-channel marketing helps everyone...

1) Direct sales of value priced products should eliminate 1 many
unqualified leads that are currently passed on to the Reseller network.

2) Resellers will be able to focus their efforts on full scale systems
which are more profitable.

3) MicroBiz Resellers can provide consulting services for J these mass
marketed products, without the expense of first prospecting and then
qualifying leads.

4) The new products are completely compatible with The Controller Series,
so all inventory and customer data files can be used. The upgrade
procedure will be smooth and hassle-free.

5) MicroBiz will maintain an on-going effort to get these low end products
upgraded to The Controller because it is most efficient way to automate a
business.

6) They will provide our reseller with a fresh stream of qualified leads.

The Products...

1) The WorkMate Series: Formerly called "Juniors", these products are
single user, entry level versions of the "Senior" Controller line. Priced
from $179-$395, they will print invoices, track customer purchases, and
help a business owner manage inventory. "It is a good starting point for
someone who is seriously considering business automation, although the
business owner will want to upgrade to a "Senior" after using it for six
months. Seven years of experience tells us Resellers cannot build a
profitable business selling only "Juniors" because they arc too limited to
satisfy the requirements for business automation", said Aberle.

2) Run Your Business: A new shareware product that does customer and price
lookup, and prints invoices. It does not provide inventory control or
track customer history. This product costs $39.95 and offers just a taste
of automated POS. It is available on the MicroBiz Bulletin Board Service
and several other BBS's around the country.

3) The Controller Series: Still the industry standard in POS, these
multi-user feature-rich products will continue to be the primary focus of
MicroBiz Corp. They will be advertised in national and regional magazines
aimed at businesses interested in automating. Pricing remains unchanged.

An "Every Channel" Approach...

"Our "every channel" approach should uncover thousands of businesses that
we have missed because of their . perception of the costs to automate.
With a clear upgrade path to The Controller available, and a Company
commitment to channel these better leads to our Resellers, MicroBiz is
poised to take advantage of the enormous interest, and significant growth
projected for the POS industry", said Richard Rubin, VP Marketing.

After successfully marketing The Controller Series for 6 years through a
Reseller network, MicroBiz remains committed to that channel. The Company
projects that over 90% of its sales will continue to be through its
Resellers. The introduction of the value priced products is designed to
provide a low cost example of the benefits of automation to the 10 million
small businesses in the U.S. that are not yet automated.
