Network Software Associates Introduces New Version of 3270 PC-to-Mainframe
Communications Software for DOS and Windows.

LAGUNA HILLS, CA, March 10,1993--Network Software Associates, Inc. (NSA)
today unveiled new versions of their DyanComm/Elite 3270 communications
software for Windows and their 3270/ElitePlus software for DOS. Version
3.4 of DynaComm/Elite and version 2.2 of 3270/ElitePlus are now available
for immediate delivery. Both offer a range of new and enhanced
connectivity features.

Version 3.4 is the third major release of NSA's DynaComm/Elite for
Windows-based PC-to-mainframe connectivity. The new version now offers
concurrent 3270 and LU6.2/APPC communications.

"Concurrent 3270 and APPC sessions in a single SNA Physical Unit
configuration is very significant," said Steve Chiu, NSA's director of
research and development. "DynaComm/Elite is now the only Windows SNA
product to offer single-PU 3270 plus APPC over a compete set of network
links, including Coax/DFT, SDLC, 802.2, NetWare IPX/SPX, NetBIOS, Async,
X.25 and now also TCP/IP."

DynaComm/Elite's setup program allows the network administrator maximum
flexibility in determining which SNA engines" to install on each PC--3270
only, APPC only or 3270+APPC. This allows PC users to continue using the
large population of 3270 applications concurrently with newer APPC
applications.

Other DynaComm/Ellite 3.4 enhancements include:

* Support for IBM's NetView Response Time Monitor which allows
the collection of end-to-end 3270 session performance data and
the setting of session response time thresholds for each
  DynaComm/Elite client.
* The addition of a new TCP/IP link driver.
* Support of IBM GDDM mainframe graphics applications.
* Enhancements to the INDSFlLE facility for improved Windows
  based file viewing and selection.
* Enhancements to the Script Recorder for multiple sessions
  and focus changes.
* Support of Windows 3.1 file operations and 3D dialogs.
* Optional display of OIA graphic symbols used on IBM terminals.
* Support for Jump, Delete Word and Delete Character function
  keys.
* Enhancements to printer status messages.

3270/ELITEPLUS VERSION 2.2

NSA also announced version 2.2 of 3270/ElitePlus, the company's
multisession, DOS-based, PC-to mainframe connectivity software product for
SNA LU2 environments. It offers these new features:

* The addition of a new TCP/IP link driver.
* Support tor IBM NetView Response Time Monitor.
* Mouse support for cursor select commands on 3270 mainframe
  applications.
* Support for successive screen prints to a single file.
* Compressed print, local 3270 keys, reverse yellow, and other
  additions.

"These new features are the direct result of customer input and requests,"
said Mr. Chiu. "At NSA, we are dedicated to following ongoing product
evolution strategies that carefully track our users' changing needs.
