Network Software Associates Changes Name to NetSoft

LAGUNA HILLS, CA, April 19, 1993 -- Network Software Associates, Inc., an
industry pioneer in the field of PC-to-host communications software for
IBM Systems Network Architecture (SNA) environments, today announced that
it has officially changed its corporate name to NetSoft.

The name change signals NetSoft's emergence as a major participant in the
rapidly expanding PC connectivity marketplace. Over the past two years,
NetSoft increased annual sales by over 180%. The company, headquartered in
Southern California, has opened direct sales and support offices in major
cities throughout the United States, while simultaneously establishing
third-party distribution networks both domestically and internationally.
NetSoft recently expanded its traditional PC-to-mainframe software line
with a new family of products for PC-to-AS/400 midrange connectivity
called Elite/400.

"We feel that this new name more accurately reflects who we are today as a
corporation," said NetSoft CEO Isaac (Zak) Kong. "When we started Network
Software Associates, or NSA, back in 1980, we were a small group
specializing in SNA consulting. Today, we have grown to become a worldwide
supplier of PC based client-server solutions for multi-vendor,
heterogeneous networks. Our new name NetSoft is friendlier, more succinct,
and more memorable. We feel it is well suited to carry us to the next
plateau in the 1990s and beyond."

NetSoft's consistent, dramatic growth is a result of the company's wide
range of popular product offerings, plus important industry alliances with
marketplace leaders. Over the years, NetSoft has established strategic
partnerships with IBM, AT&T/NCR, Novell, McDATA, Sterling Software,
LEGENT, and many others. Last month the company announced a strategic
development agreement with Microsoft Corporation to supply a simplified
3270 communications emulator to be shipped with each and every copy of
Microsoft's new high-end Windows NT operating system.

NetSoft has gained a reputation for innovation and reliability based on a
long series of connectivity product breakthroughs. These include the first
LU6.2/APPC cooperative processing software for DOS (AdaptSNA APPC, 1986),
the first multiprotocol SNA solution for dial-up asynchronous connections
(AdaptAsync, 1988), the first 3770/RJE solution for OS/2 (AdaptSNA/2 RJE,
1988), the first APPC software implemented as a true Windows applications
(DynaComm/Elite APPC, 1 991), and the first Windows PC-to-AS/400 solution
that eliminates the need for IBM's PC Support /400 software (Elite/400,
1992).

NetSoft sells primarily to large SNA customers with heterogeneous,
multi-vendor network implementations. Customers include VISA, Avis, Bank
of America, Delta Airlines, Hartford Insurance, MasterCard, Wells Fargo,
American Honda, Mutual of Canada, American Express and others.

NetSoft is headquartered at 39 Argonaut, Laguna Hills, CA 92656. Phone:
