TWO UNIX AND OPEN SYSTEMS LEADERS TO SPEAK AT UNIX EXPO 

Roel Pieper of UNIX System Labs and Charles Wang of Computer Associates to
Give Keynote Speeches at Industry Trade Show

(Fort Lee, NJ, June 1) -- Two prominent industry leaders in the UNIX and
Open Systems sector of the computer industry, Roel Pieper of UNIX Systems
Laboratories and Charles B. Wang of Computer Associates International,
will be keynote speakers at this year's UNIX EXPO. The Tenth Annual UNIX
EXPO show and conference will take place Sept. 21-23, at the Jacob Javits
Convention Center in New York City.

Mr. Pieper is the president and chief executive officer of UNIX Systems
Laboratories (USL). He will discuss USL's merger with Novell, and its
significance for UNIX EXPO's audience of corporate buyers and major
resellers of UNIX and Open Systems in his speech, "Novell + USL = UNIX for
the Corporate User." Mr. Pieper will deliver his speech on Tues., Sept.
21, at 1 p.m.

"Software in a Distributed Computing Environment" is the subject of the
second-day keynote by Charles Wang, chairman and CEO of Computer
Associates (CA). Mr. Wang will discuss the role of UNIX software in the
business computing environment, in his address on Wed., Sept. 22, at 11
a.m.

Show hours for UNIX EXPO will be Tuesday - 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday -
10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursday -10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

USL, currently a subsidiary of AT&T, develops, markets, supports and
licenses the UNIX System V operating system and related Open Systems
software products to the computer industry worldwide.

Mr. Pieper joined USL as executive v.p., sales and marketing, in 1990, and
was named President and CEO in November 1991. Mr. Pieper received his
Doctoral degree in computer science and mathematics from Delft University
in the Netherlands.

Since founding CA in 1976, Mr. Wang developed the company into the
worldwide leader in multi-platform business software with revenues
exceeding $1.8 billion. Mr. Wang immigrated to the U.S. from Shanghai,
China, in 1952, and earned his Bachelors degree from Queens College in
1967.

UNIX EXPO will feature the latest computing products and services for UNIX
and Open Systems from more than 360 exhibitors, including Computer
Associates and USL. Other exhibitors will include: Apple, Data General,
Digital Equipment Corp., Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Ingres, Lotus, Motorola,
Network Computing Devices, NCR, OSF, Pencom, Samsung, SCO, SunSoft,
Tandem, UNIX International, Univel (div. of Novell), Unisys and
WordPerfect.
