SSI BLITZKRIEGS COMPUTERS WITH COMPREHENSIVE SIMULATION OF WAR IN EUROPE

Sunnyvale, CA -- July 5, 1993 -- The war has begun, and Germany has
blitzkrieged Poland and western Europe! In 1939, World War II swept across
Europe in full force, and now SSI recreates the conflict in a fast-moving,
easy-to-play combat simulation, Clash of Steel. The game spans the 1939
-1945 European theater and offers players unmatched depth and strategy in
an uncomplicated and easy-to-understand format.

One or two players can enter the conflict, playing as the Axis or the
Allies. All unit types from the actual war are represented on-screen,
including tanks, paratroopers, engineers, air forces, and naval forces.
Players carry out their actions in multiple-impulse turns, allowing them
to take actions several times each turn, such as reinforcement, movement,
and attacking. The dynamic multi-impulse system is generated randomly by
the computer for added excitement.

Graphically, Clash of Steel ranks among the top war games. Detailed
256-color VGA graphics make the military units sharp and easy to read.
From the steppes of Russia to the sands of North Africa, high-definition
terrains are displayed on the tiles to put players in the middle of the
action.

Clash of Steel is played with an easy-to-use interface which enables
players to click on units, then drag-and-drop them into proper position.
The map scrolls automatically for ease of interaction. The army/corp size
scale of 20-30,000 men per unit further reduces the complexity. Game play
detail includes realistic diplomacy tactics, weather conditions, and a
full-fledged production system. Full sound support enhances the
excitement. Shipping this June, Clash of Steel carries a $69.95 SRP.
