FOREX INTRODUCES 32-BIT/50 MHz HIGH SPEED VESA SCSI HOST ADAPTER

At a highly competitive MSRP of $240, FOREX's adapter offers the leading
price/performance VESA SCSI Host Adapter.

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 7, 1993 -- FOREX Computer Corporation, today
announced the release of their 32-bit Bus Mastering VESA SCSI Host
Adapter: The FR600A VL BusMaster. Retail shipments of the 32-bit/50MHz
VESA local bus master began on July 1, at a suggested retail price of
$240.

FOREX's SCSI adapter utilizes a unique, advanced chipset and proves to be
the most highly integrated 32-bit VESA bus adapter on the market. Unlike
competitive offerings FOREX's VL BusMaster incorporates a local SRAM
significantly increasing the speed/performance of the board. With a SCSI-2
Data Transfer Rate (DTR) of 10MB/Sec. and a VL Bus DTR of 100 MB/Sec., the
adapter makes for an ideal controller for the network server environment.

Unique features integrated into the bus master adapter include the
combination of the high-speed SRAM and board level protocol providing
nearly 30% increase in DTR at the same CPU speed, especially in CAD/CAM
and UNIX environments. In addition, a 32-bit interface delivers the high
performance required for most multimedia applications. Auto detecting and
adjusting for different types of Hard Disk Translation Tables are two
additional features not found in many adapters available on the market.
Ranked high on users features lists, auto adjusting allows a drive to be
moved or re-connected to a new system without having to be reformatted
each time.

Supporting popular ASPI-based SCSI driver and application developers like
Corel, the VL BusMaster becomes a de facto host adapter able to fit into
any application environment or market. As like many of the ASPI compliant
software vendors, the VL BusMaster supports major operating systems
including Windows, Windows NT, DOS, Novell, SCO UNIX and the soon to be
released Univel. Taking advantage of the many high performance SCSI
devices available on the market, the FR600A VL BusMaster supports drives
including hard disk, CD-ROM, removable-media storage peripherals,
magneto-optical subsystems, WORM, tape and DAT among others. True to the
SCSI standard, FOREXs VESA adapter enables systems to interface with up to
seven daisy-chained storage devices.

FOREX recognizes users' needs for compatibility and responds with offering
fully ASPI compliant hardware and software along with an extensive
qualification program to assure broad compatibility across the growing
range of system configurations and storage devices. The model comes with a
comprehensive one-year warranty including technical support and a 24 hour
response program for replacement units.

The VL BusMaster will be sold through distributors, as well as, OEMs, VARs,
system integrators and PC products resellers. Suggested retail price is a
very competitive $240, including software.

Founded in 1990, FOREX is a privately held company specializing in the
development and manufacture of board level SCSI controllers and chipset
I.C. products for the system integrator, OEM and VAR PC market.
