20/20 Announces Nimbus Report Writer 2.0 for Borland's Paradox 4.0

San Diego, CA -- May 16, 1993 -- 20/20 Software, Inc. today announced first
shipment of version 2.0 of the Nimbus Report Writer for Paradox and the
release of 5- and 25-user network versions. Version 2.0 of the Report
Writer supports "dynamic graphics" (printing pictures associated with each
record), enables the single-user version to be used as a l-user network
pack, supports printing reports to ASCII or PostScript files, adds several
PAL functions, reduces runtime memory requirements to allow full use of
Paradox 4.0, and many other improvements are included.

The Nimbus Report Writer was developed specifically to work with Borland
International's Paradox database software and offers users a WYSIWYG user
interface, variety of fonts, drawing tools, and the ability to place
graphics in reports. It also offers enhanced database features such as
conditional fields, embedded query criteria, partial key linking, and
table scan.

Paradox 4.0 sets new standards for DOS-based relational database management
systems. With a windows-like user interface, tremendous power and
performance gains, enhanced network performance and expanded Paradox
Application Language, PAL, Paradox is ideal for a wide range of users. It
includes the industry-standard Query By Example (QBE) for fast interactive
database querying. Paradox can also store and retrieve Binary Large
Objects (BLObs) in memo fields. BLObs can contain any type of binary data
including graphics, sound and multimedia files.

"Paradox users looking to expand their reporting capabilities will find
Nimbus Report Writer a very useful tool," said Daniel Klaussen, Paradox
DOS product manager for Borland International. "The new release of Nimbus
is a prime example of continued growth in the Paradox add-on market."
