PC Graphics & Video magazine (formerly High Color) Signs Industry Pioneer
As Consultant

Santa Ana, CA -- October 20, 1993 -- Randall Stickrod, founder and
long-time publisher/editor of Computer Graphics World magazine, has signed
on with Advanstar Communications, Inc. to consult on the growth and
development of PC Graphics Video magazine. Formerly named High Color, PC
Graphics & Video was recently acquired by Advanstar and serves 75,000
graphics and presentation professionals. It is the only magazine targeting
the PC-only computer graphics market.

Stickrod will also consult with CADalyst, an Advanstar magazine edited for
users of AutoCAD, the computer-aided design industry's premiere software
program, from Autodesk.

"Advanstar's ambitious and far-reaching plans and activities in the
computer graphics publishing arena offer me an exceptional opportunity to
help build the next generation of computer and interactive multimedia
magazines," says Stickrod.

After selling Computer Graphics World to PennWell, Stickrod continued to
remain firmly involved in the computer and computer graphics business. His
background includes a stint as vice president/group publisher for M&T
Publishing, where he directed the successful repositioning of MIPS
magazine as Personal Workstation. From 1985 to 1990, he was president of
Mindshare International Inc., a consulting company whose clients included
Tektronix, Seiko, NEC, Hitachi, Autodesk and Schlumberger Graphics. He
also published Computer Graphics Today and The Stickrod File, an insider's
newsletter to the computer graphics industry.

He currently serves as president of South Park Media Inc., of San
Francisco, where he launched Wired and Mac Home Journal. He has also
reorganized and developed business for Mondo 2000, Leonardo and justGO!,
and directed sales and marketing for the IEEE's Computer, Software,
Computer Graphics & Applications, Micro, Expert and Design & Test.
