News Release: AXS Cart Machine Replacement

Ft. Worth, TX, 9/1/93. Electric Works Corp, through its broadcast software
division, The Management, has announced that AXS, its new audio Cart
machine replacement software is ready for delivery. AXS pronounced as
(ax'-sess) totally replaces broadcast audio Cart machines in both the
Production room and the Control room, can eliminate traditional paper
traffic Logs, introduces a number of Jock tool boxes for improved
production and presentation and has optional extensions for integrating CD
single and multi-disc playback machines into the system.

"We started from ground zero." said Pete Charlton. president of Electric
Works Corp, "After the success of Digital DJ, we had the experience and
knowledge we needed. The development of AXS was aimed at an entirely
different market with different goals. We started with a superb quality
audio card and went from there.". Charlton continued: "AXS is not just a
warmed over digital automation system. It plows some new ground and meets
the requirements that many live operators have requested in the last two
years.". Charlton concluded: "With its realistic pricing, its modern
technology, its innovative software design and the unrelenting emphasis on
quality all the way through, we feel that AXS is a solution for any
situation that formerly was relying on audio Cart machines.".

The AXS "starter kit" includes both a Production room and a Control room
system linked by an included LAN network. Additional Control room or
Production room modules may be added at any time and included on the LAN.
An AXS Production room consists of a premium quality record/play digital
audio card, a LAN network card and software and the Production room
software for audio recording, playback and audio Cut management. An AXS
Control room includes a premium quality playback only digital audio card,
a LAN network card and the Control room software.

Each AXS system requires a 486 PC computer with standard VGA color monitor
and a large hard disk. Typically, the smallest hard disk that the average
user with stereo commercials would use would be about 340 megabytes which
would give about 160 minutes of stereo storage or 320 minutes of mono
storage with a full 16 kHz audio frequency response. The computer, monitor
and hard disk may be provided by the customer or optionally will be
packaged by Electric Works Corp with the complete system. Two computers
are required for the "starter kit".

Options for the AXS Control room include interfaces to the popular Pioneer
PD-M502 single magazine (6 disc) or PD-TM/3 triple magazine (18 disc)
players as well as the PD-M102 single disc CD playback machines. Also an
interface to the powerful Pioneer CAC-VR3200 300 disc, dual platter CD
jukebox is available. Other options include software interfaces from
popular Traffic & Billing systems and Music playlist generators. For
special situations, AXS can be linked into the new DMX-4 stereo four
channel audio switcher on a PC card.

The AXS Control room can be configured in a number of ways: One is as a
stand-alone audio Cart machine replacement with audio stored on hard disk.
Another configuration adds one of several CD playback interfaces to the
basic unit. Yet another interesting configuration might be to eliminate
the digital audio storage and to run AXS as a stand-alone CD playback-only
system for use with background music or attached to a conventional
automation system. Many other possibilities exist.

While AXS is totally compatible with the industry leading Digital DJ/2
digital automation system and with its interfaces, and will be offered as
an add-on to that system, AXS is a totally stand-alone solution designed
for worldwide use in all situations that now depend upon analog audio Cart
machines.

The suggested list price of the AXS "starter kit" is $5,995.00 US$.

AXS will be available to broadcasters and professional audio houses through
the dealer and distributor channel.
