PC COMPONET RELEASES FIRST CONSUMER CD-ROM

Fingers for Windows teaches languages while it teaches typing.

October 6, 1993 -- PC CompoNet, Inc. today announced the availability of
Fingers for Windows, the first CD-ROM to combine language education with a
typing tutor. Fingers For Windows is available immediately, and lists for
$99.00.

The Fingers for Windows Typing Class is a highly effective multimedia,
multilingual typing tutorial. Users can immediately start to learn typing
skills from beginning through advanced levels in either French, Spanish,
or English. The Windows Keyboard facility replicates the exact keyboard
layout the user would use when working with the language chosen. Typing
Class includes a special module on mastering numeric input and includes
entertaining games to practice at learned skills.

The Fingers for Windows Language Class is an effective language tutorial
that teaches correct pronunciation using digitized voices of native
speakers. Thousands of useful phrases can be repeated as often as desired,
and translated immediately into the user's language of choice.

The Dual Teacher option of Fingers for Windows links the two disciplines
together with its simple but correct concept: both type of instruction
rely on repetition. A user can now learn to type while learning a new
language. Conversely a user can apply the requirements of learning a
language to brush up on keyboarding skills.

According to PC CompoNet president Bill Kelly, "As a typing tutorial alone,
Fingers for Windows exceeds the functionality, enjoyment, and
effectiveness of any other typing tutor. The Language Class & Dual Teacher
provides exceptional value to the educational and consumer markets."

Product Release Date is November 15, 1993. See Fingers for Windows
