Introducing HRIS-Pro and ATS-Pro, HR Software for Windows and DOS

San Francisco, CA. - - Human Resource MicroSystems announced that it is
shipping HRIS-Pro and ATS-Pro Version 5.0 for both Microsoft Windows 3.1
and DOS 5.0. (The company offers existing versions of its HRIS and ATS
products for Macintosh and UNIX.)

HRIS-Pro is a comprehensive employee tracking/flexible benefits
administration system designed for use by Human Resource professionals.
Packaged with fully integrated modules and features, HRIS-Pro can provide
a total solution for the most demanding Human Resource department. ATS-Pro
is available as a module or as a stand-alone system. ATS-Pro tracks
information on job candidates and job openings thereby bringing improved
productivity, management, and analysis to the recruiting function.

HRIS-Pro and ATS-Pro are written in Microsoft FoxPro (Version 2.5), and
represent state-of-the-art technology in relational database technology.
In addition to being able to draw on the power and performance of FoxPro,
these application software packages offer powerful tools for the advanced
user to custom tailor the system, to utilize full SQL query capabilities,
and to provide presentation-quality reporting using the internally
provided report writer.

The innovations in these products are far reaching, and represent one of
the first true Windows offerings in the PC-based Human Resource software
market. Even the DOS version, however, offers a user interface that is
very graphic-like. HRIS-Pro and ATS-Pro have been granted "Windows
Compatible" status by Microsoft Corporation; Human Resource MicroSystems,
as a Microsoft FoxPro developer, is also a member of the Microsoft
Solutions Channels Program.

"HRIS-Pro and ATS-Pro are comprehensive solutions to the complex
information needs of Human Resource departments, whether in large
companies or small," said Don Helt, President and CEO of Human Resource
MicroSystems. Helt added, "Advances in technology allow us to put
easy-to-use yet powerful tools in the hands of Human Resource
professionals. Chief among these is the cross-platform compatibility we
offer."

Cross-Platform Compatibility

Cross-platform compatibility allow users to access the same files and
reports whether in Windows or DOS, and features a consistent user
interface throughout. "Once Microsoft releases its FoxPro for Macintosh
and UNIX, HRIS-Pro will be compatible across all four platforms," Helt
said.

Enhanced Report Writer

"Report writing is the real reason people buy an HRIS," noted Helt. "It's
the payoff for record keeping, and must be easy enough for human resource
departments to generate their own reports, yet powerful enough to address
the complex information needs of the business as a whole." HRIS-Pro's
object-oriented, banded report writer allows the user to define the layout
of text, graphics and statistical calculations, and control font
selection, style and color. A tool palette is included in Windows and
Macintosh versions; all platforms feature menu options and scroll lists to
guide users through report writing options. HRIS-Pro comes with more than
100 standard reports, ATS-Pro with more than 35; in addition, custom
presentation-quality informational, analytical, and "what if" reports can
be designed within a few minutes.

Other Technical Highlights

* HRIS-Pro and ATS-Pro feature Microsoft FoxPro's SQL "Rushmore" RQBE query
language, providing for extremely rapid searches of large databases.

* HRIS-Pro and ATS-Pro are designed to be customized by the end user. Power
Tools included with the system include a screen painter to add or change
field names, field characteristics, and screen layouts. Tables and the
online HELP database can also be customized. Customizing tables is so
straightforward, it can even be accomplished "on the fly."

* HRIS-Pro's Windows version offers a true GUI with font selection and
sizing, tool palettes, screen painter, and more. Even the DOS version of
HRIS-Pro, however, enjoys many of the benefits of a Graphic User
Interface, including pull-down menus, mouse point and click, scroll lists,
buttons and more. The consistent interface throughout the system makes the
software intuitive, easy-to-learn, and easy-to-use.

* Floating windows allow the user to simultaneously view and edit multiple
screens of data. This feature provides convenient access to all of an
employee's records at one time.

* Multi-level security is sophisticated and yet easy to administer. With a
click of the mouse, the System Administrator can readily direct which
modules, screens, functions, reports, records and data fields individual
users can access.

* HRIS-Pro and ATS-Pro feature context-sensitive help for every field in
addition to on-line documentation. The user can access help alphabetically
or topically.
