STB INTRODUCES DUAL MONITOR ACCELERATOR CARD

MVP-2X provides Windows 3.1 acceleration that is 60 times faster than
standard VGA video.

August 18, 1993 -- Richardson, Texas - STB Systems, Inc. has announced the
release of the MVP-2X graphics accelerator card. The MVP-2X is a graphics
accelerator card designed to drive two monitors at the same time by
integrating two video channels versus the standard single channel. The
MVP-2X supports a full suite of Windows 3.1, OS/2 and DOS applications,
including AutoCAD release 12.

Based on two Tseng Labs ET4000-W32 video controller chips, the MVP-2X
allows users to view two different monitors at the same time via two
independent video ports. Windows and OS/2 users can work in a virtual
screen environment, which provides one virtual screen across both
monitors. Windows, OS/2 and DOS users can utilize a port switching mode
that permits two different applications to run at the same time, one on
each monitor. The MVP-2X is backward compatible with all existing STB MVP
video cards based on the Tseng ET4000 video controller chip.

Each video port utilizes 1 Meg of fast 60 ns DRAM and its own digital
analog converter (DAC). Each monitor supported will have a maximum
resolution of 1024x768 and can provide up to 32,000 colors at 640x480
resolution. The MVP-2X is compatible with Industry Standard Architecture
(ISA) and Micro Channel Architecture bus types (both have VESA compatible
modes).

The product comes standard with drivers to support applications for
Microsoft Windows 3.x, Windows NT and IBM's OS/2. Panacea's DLD386-VGA
Deluxe AutoDesk drivers are available as an upgrade option for CAD/CAM
users.

The MVP-2X will be available in limited quantities in September and is
scheduled to begin full production runs in October 1993. The suggested
retail price is $1,099.

The MVP-2X offers users a choice of viewing multiple screens of information
at a higher performance level than single or dual port video cards based
on the Tseng ET4000 chipset. "The MVP2X provides the right combination of
performance, color depth and acceleration for those who need to view
multiple sources of information simultaneously," said Product Manager,
Greg Martin. Martin defines the MVP-2X, "...as a product of choice for
financial traders and AutoCAD users because it provides them with twice as
much information as a single channel solution."

Established in 1981, STB Systems, Inc. is the third largest manufacturer of
video adapter products. STB manufactures an entire line of video adapters
ranging from standard VGA, Super VGA and graphics accelerators to multiple
video port (MVP) video adapters. STB products are available at major
