TRINZIC CORPORATION JOINS KEY LOTUS NOTES PARTNER PROGRAMS

TRINZIC BECOMES LOTUS NOTES BUSINESS PARTNER AND NOTES PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPER

Palo Alto, CA, September 28, 1993--Trinzic Corporation (NASDAQ:TRNZ)
announced today that it is now a member of two major Lotus Notes partner
programs. Trinzic is now part of the Lotus Notes Professional Developers
and Business Partners Programs, integrating its InfoPump "middleware"
product with Lotus Notes. The combination of InfoPump and Lotus Notes
delivers a sophisticated workflow computing solution that allows Lotus
Notes-based workgroups to extend their Notes applications to provide
access to strategic data stored in external database management systems,
and vice-versa.

"Trinzic is a leader in building applications that add value to Lotus Notes
and we are very pleased to welcome Trinzic into our Business Partners and
Professional Developers programs," said Jeff Papows, Vice President of the
Lotus Notes Product Division. "InfoPump is a strategic tool that expands
the reach of Notes for customers who want to use Notes with transaction
processing applications."

"Notes is a high growth computing platform. Many of our customers and
prospects already use Notes or are planning to in the near future. It is a
highly productive integrated environment for automated workgroup
activities," said Jim Gagnard, Trinzic's Chief Executive Officer.
"Trinzic's InfoPump is an easy, effective way for companies to integrate
their document-oriented Notes applications with information stored in the
transaction-oriented databases maintained by the IS organization. InfoPump
users can connect their Notes applications with DBMS servers throughout
the organization, enabling an integrated client/server environment," added
Gagnard.

Trinzic is a charter member of the Lotus Professional Developers Program.
Through this program developers have access to the Lotus Notes API and
other Lotus software and are able to consult with Lotus experts on
application architecture and design. Trinzic will also receive access to
technical assistance from Lotus, early access to pre-release versions of
Notes, and various marketing support programs. Additionally, Trinzic's
products will be listed in the quarterly Lotus Notes Guide, shipped with
all copies of Lotus Notes.

As a Lotus Business Partner, Trinzic joins an elite group of value added
resellers, systems integrators, consultants and application developers who
provide solutions and services to their customers using Lotus Notes
technology. Trinzic will participate with Lotus in key industry trade
shows and cooperative marketing programs.

One customer that adopted the Lotus Notes/InfoPump approach was Bankers
Trust Co., a large New York financial institution. Using InfoPump to link
Lotus Notes to their server databases, Bankers Trust created a method to
ensure that customer requests are answered in a timely and accurate
manner. "We needed an automated way to escalate client requests and route
them to other employees if someone didn't act within a reasonable amount
of time," said David Osbourne, VP of Technology for the Bankers Trust
retirement division. The solution was Lotus Notes and InfoPump. "This
saved us a lot of time and money," concluded Osbourne.

Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, Trinzic Corporation has more than
275 employees and a combined installed base of more than 5200 customers
representing more than 35,000 product licenses. Trinzic's
products--InfoHub, InfoPump, Forest & Trees, KBMS, Aion Development System
(AionDS), and Intellect -- are distributed by a direct sales force and key
marketing partners, as well as distributors throughout North America,
Europe, the Pacific Rim, and South America. Trinzic maintains a major
facility in Waltham, Massachusetts, and has offices worldwide.

Lotus Notes is the industry standard client server platform for developing
groupware applications. It allows people to access, track and share and
organize information in ways never before possible, even if they are only
connected to a network. Since its introduction, more than 2000 companies
and nearly half a million people have used Notes to improve business
processes, including customer service, sales and account management and
product development. By reducing the time and improving the quality of
these processes, Notes has helped organizations achieve an average return
on investment of 400%.

Lotus Development Corp. (NASDAQ:LOTS), founded in 1982, provides software
products and support services that meet the business needs of individuals,
workgroups and enterprises. Lotus' extensive range of products form the
foundation for the company's Working Together strategy, which focuses on
integrating applications, platforms and people. The company's first
product, 1-2-3, is the most popular personal computer software application
in the world, with more than 20 million users. Lotus markets its products
in more than 80 countries worldwide and provides numerous support services
