ARIS MULTIMEDIA ENTERTAINMENT SHIPS FIRST GAME TITLE, VIDEO CUBE: SPACE

Fast-Action, Non-Violent, Video Puzzle First in New Series to Combine
Multimedia CD-ROM Technology With Puzzle Solving Ability and Video Clips
from NASA

November 15, 1993 -- (COMDEX, LAS VEGAS)--Aris Multimedia Entertainment, a
world leader in MPC utility and multimedia clip art products, has begun to
ship its first CD-ROM game title, Video Cube: Space. The fast-paced,
multimedia video game is comprised of an interactive Rubik's cube-like
puzzle incorporating 108 Microsoft Video for Windows videos, CD-quality
original music and sound effects.

"Traditional computer video games all seem to be variations of 'Kill, Maim
and Hurt,"' said Diane Heppting, chairman of Aris Entertainment. "We feel
computer games should be exciting and challenging without needing to kill
and destroy everything in sight in order to win. Our dealers seem to
enthusiastically agree, as indicated by the more than 5,000 units ordered
upon its release."

Video Cube begins with an animated cube, containing dozens of video
fragments, hurling itself through outer space, at which point the player
must unscramble the stills on each side of the Cube. The payoff for
solving each side of the puzzle is a dramatic video (from ten to sixty
seconds), accompanied by CD-quality music. These dramatic sequences are
from the National Space Aeronautic Administration (NASA) and include
rocket launches, moon walks and stunning videos of the heavens above and
the earth below.

One of the most appealing parts of the game at retail is its remarkable
packaging, which also is unlike any other CD-ROM on the market, with a 5
3/4" x 5 3/4" physical cube game included to complement the video game.
"There are no other video games on the market where the packaging itself
is a game," noted Heppting.

Containing 18 levels of difficulty, more than 100 videos and extensive
selections of original music, Video Cube: Space is dynamic, engrossing and
especially suitable for holiday gift giving. "Our research has shown that
parents are often looking for exciting games to give their kids, but also
want something safe and non-destructive," said Heppting. "With Video Cube,
players can enjoy hours of fast, challenging, three-dimensional action
with none of the violent themes or overtones associated with traditional
video games."

Video Cube: Space retails for $49.95 and is available immediately through
Electronic Arts, which recently signed a distribution agreement with Aris
for the entire Video Cube line of titles. Video Cube requires a Super VGA
monitor and an MPC-compatible CD-ROM and supports both 8-bit and 16-bit
sound cards. Sound on the Video Cube can be played back at 16-bit/44k and
8-bit/22-bit formats. Aris' current product lines include utilities (MPC
Wizard, multimedia entertainment and clip art (Media Clips) and games
(Video Cube series).
