NEW CRYSTALEYES CAD ALLOWS AUTOCAD USERS TO VISUALIZE STEREO 3D IMAGES FOR
THE FIRST TIME

San Rafael, CA -- November 9, 1993 -- StereoGraphics Corporation, the
world's largest supplier of stereo three-dimensional electronic display
equipment, is introducing its CrystalEyes CAD system at the Autofact Show
in Chicago, Nov. 9-11.
StereoGraphics and MicronGreen, Gainesville, FL, a leading third-party
virtual reality software developer and CAD/multimedia/VR system source,
have jointly developed a software application which takes advantage of
StereoGraphics' leadership in stereo visualization.

Wil Cochran, vice president of sales/marketing at StereoGraphics, said,
"For the first time, CrystalEyes CAD allows any AutoCAD drawing file to be
viewed in three dimensions, giving users a clearer understanding of models
they are trying to evaluate or manipulate. Until now users could only see
a perspective view of objects on a two dimensional screen." Cochran noted
that the image can also be saved as an AutoCAD "slide" in a graphics file
on the hard disk.

Millard Pate, president of MicronGreen, stated, "With CrystalEyes CAD,
models now pop out of the screen in solid stereo 3D, ideal for mechanical
CAD, rendering, slide presentations, quick prototyping and any kind of
solids modeling. For the first time, users don't have to take their models
outside AutoCAD."

Pate said that using CrystalEyes CAD, Autodesk's AutoCAD, AveRender,
AutoVision and AnimatorPro, a user now has the ability to rotate, texture,
create volume surface and animate AutoCAD stereo 3D models. Features
include interactive perspective control, and scripting of multiple images
to create animation.

The MicronGreen CE CAD software creates a second, parallel image which,
when viewed through CrystalEyes eyewear, lets the user see
three-dimensional models in stereo 3D. The lightweight (3 oz.) untethered
glasses are synchronized with the stereo image by the infrared emitter,
enabling users to view the 3D screen images with complete freedom of
movement. In addition, a user can alter the parallax value in order to
exaggerate the stereo depth effect.

The benefits of stereo viewing have been proven in numerous applications,
from mechanical CAD/CAE to virtual prototyping and architectural
walk-throughs. Using stereo images reduces design costs and development
cycles, improves accuracy and makes complex concepts easier to understand,
manipulate and implement. Additional applications include scientific
visualization, mapping, architectural design and construction, global
imaging, structural analysis, plant design, facilities management and
quality assurance.

The CrystalEyes CAD system includes patented CrystalEyes PC shuttering
liquid crystal eyewear, stereo electronics and integrated infrared
emitter, along with MicronGreen's CE CAD software. CrystalEyes CAD is
available now at a suggested list price of $1695.00. Both StereoGraphics
and MicronGreen are offering CrystalEyes CAD at a special introductory
price of $1380.00. For those who already use CrystalEyes, the CE CAD
software is available separately at a suggested list price of $395.00.
Distribution is through StereoGraphics' and MicronGreen's direct sales
forces and VAR networks. The CrystalEyes CAD system is designed for
PC-based computers running AutoCAD release 12.0 for DOS, and requires a
stereo-ready monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate for flicker-free viewing.

StereoGraphics' new CrystalEyes PC system is compatible with Micron Green's
CE CAD software. CrystalEyes PC runs on most popular desktop systems,
including IBM PC-compatibles and some Apple Macintosh and Amiga computers.
With the CrystalEyes PC system, desktop computer users can bring graphics
applications to life in true 3D stereo depth. The CrystalEyes PC system
converts a non-stereo-ready PC into a state-of-the-art graphics platform
for true stereo 3D visualization.

StereoGraphics also produces CrystalEyes VR for virtual reality systems. As
the user's head moves, the displayed stereo image changes perspective,
giving the convincing illusion that the image is a real object.
CrystalEyes VR is supported by MicronGreen's Virtual Environment Navigator
VR software, and is easily ported to SGI and Sun workstations and IBM PC
systems and compatibles.

MicronGreen, Inc. is a leading developer of virtual reality software for
the CAD and multimedia markets with its flagship software, Virtual
Environment Navigator, an interactive real-time. tool for end users to
fly, manipulate and script actions within AutoCAD and 3D-Studio 3D models.
MicronGreen develops other VR-related software products, such as specific
hardware drivers, geometry translators and optimizers. MicronGreen was
founded in 1983 as a one-stop source for CAD hardware and software.
Software products from Autodesk, Sense8 and MicronGreen, as well as
hardware from extensive sources, support all VR needs, including
fully-integrated and configured turnkey systems. MicronGreen is located at
1240 NW 21st Ave., Gainesville, FL 32609, telephone 904/376-1529.

StereoGraphics Corp., founded in 1980 and the world's leading manufacturer
of stereo viewing systems, invented and developed the market for modern
stereo imaging hardware. Due to its capability, reasonable price and
state-of-the-art technology backed by 15 patents, CrystalEyes stereo
viewing systems are accepted as the industry standard for stereo viewing.
StereoGraphics is located at 2171 East Francisco Boulevard, San Rafael,
California 94901, phone 415/459-4500, fax 415/459-3020.
