MULTICOM ADDS "DANDY DINOSAURS: A MAX THE DRAGON CD" TO ITS GROWING CATALOG
OF CD-ROM TITLES

New Product With Full-Motion Video Sequences is The First In A Series Of
Multicom Interactive CD-ROM Titles To Be Produced For Children.

October 14, 1993 -- SEATTLE, WA -- Multicom Publishing, a leading publisher
of multimedia CD-ROM titles, today announced the release of "Dandy
Dinosaurs: A Max the Dragon CD".

The new title from Multicom is the first in its exclusive long-term series
of Better Homes and Gardens CD-ROM's designed specifically with advanced
multimedia techniques to amuse, entertain and teach children with exciting
stories, fun games and full-motion video "how-to" crafts projects.

Using innovative mastering technologies that allow the new title to be
available on a single CD-ROM in both MPC and Macintosh versions, "Dandy
Dinosaurs: A Max the Dragon CD" (59.95 SRP) is an interactive title
containing an animated Max the Dragon story that is based on the popular
Better Homes and Gardens children's activity series.

"Dandy Dinosaurs is a great way for children to occupy and amuse themselves
using new CD-ROM technology," noted Paul Attard, COO of Multicom. "What
makes our titles really stand out are not only the animated games and
stories but the custom-made full-motion video sequences that show children
how to complete the provided imaginative craft projects. At their computer
at home, kids now can learn how to finish a project by watching, listening
and doing."

Dandy Dinosaurs contains 11 different craft projects, each fully
illustrated with narrated color video sequences that show other children
working through and completing the projects. Extensive testing by Better
Homes and Gardens assures that each game and activity will be challenging
and achievable by children aged three to nine.

Dandy Dinosaurs also contains four games that teach dinosaur facts and
jokes, as well as counting and observation skills. Each game also features
amusing animation and narrated instructions for ease-of-use.

In addition to games and activities, Dandy Dinosaurs contains a read-along
animated story, in which Max, his little sister Marci and their friends
create a neighborhood-wide party. The story is fully narrated with text
that is highlighted as it is being read, so children can make the
connection between the words they hear and the words they see on the
computer screen.

On-screen controls allow children to easily move throughout Dandy Dinosaurs
with a mouse. The program runs on any MPC-compliant PC, and on any color
Apple Macintosh with a 13-inch screen or larger as well as a CD-ROM drive
and System 6.07 or greater.
