ICOM SIMULATIONS, INC.'S DRACULA UNLEASHED ESTABLISHES A NEW LEVEL OF USER
INVOLVEMENT FOR THE CD-ROM HORROR MOVIE GENRE

Interactive CD ROM Dracula Unleashed Places Unsuspecting Players Amid a
Biting New Gothic Thriller to Direct the Action

ICOM announces Dracula Unleashed on CD-ROM

JUST RELEASED - CHICAGO - OCTOBER 24, 1993 -- ICOM Simulations. Inc.
redefines computer entertainment with its first interactive horror movie
on CD-ROM, Dracula Unleashed, a biting new role-playing adventure in which
every player decision has a profound effect upon the direction of play
towards the movie's eventual outcome.

Dracula Unleashed brings new levels of user involvement to the horror movie
genre

"Dracula Unleashed combines horror, suspense, romance and adventure with
ICOM's emblematic, cutting-edge technology," said Dennis Defensor,
President of ICOM Simulations, Inc. "The extensive use of video
complements the high degree of player creativity and provides a unique
game experience that we know will keep players challanged."

The environment reflects ICOM's unique game experience

Dracula Unleashed uses ICOM's proprietary video compression technologies
with the staff's extensive experience in role-playing game design and
development to create a spellbinding mystery/Gothic thriller. ICOM's
original story of horror and suspense is fraught with colorful characters
from the original Dracula legend, interspersed with new characters and
settings.

Dracula Unleashed includes 135 original scenes

In the game, players are transported back to Victorian England for a period
of "four days." They assume a particular identity and direct the movie's
progress. Dracula Unleashed incorporates 135 scenes, including multiple
endings, and a total of 96 minutes of color motion video and an additional
50 minutes of interleaved audio. Players not only direct the movie, they
travel through London, gathering information, objects and valuable
contacts. The player's five-day mission is to identify and destroy Dracula
before he destroys them.

Special attention was taken during the filming to ensure optimal playback
on CD-ROM

Dracula Unleashed was written and produced specifically for the CD-ROM
medium, to provide maximum color and picture quality and to exploit full
potential tor user interactivity. Special care was taken in various
theater disciplines from set and costume design to camera angles and shot
framing to optimize the computerized video's impact.

Proprietary technologies enhance the experience

ICOM's proprietary compression software enables 96 minutes of motion video
(15 frames per second) to fit onto a single CD-ROM disc. As the video
compression resides in the software, DOS and Macintosh users are fully
compatible and require no additional compression hardware. Similarly,
ICOM's proprietary audio interleaving system synchronizes the action to
the soundtrack, resulting in a more natural, true-to-life vocalization or
"lip sync," despite the computer's ongoing video decompression
activities.
