LIBRARY MASTER Bibliographic Database Manager Version 2.0 Released

NORTH YORK, ONTARIO--Balboa Software is shipping LIBRARY MASTER, version
2.0, a bibliographic database manager that automatically formats
bibliographies in numerous styles. The new version features network
compatibility, greater report flexibility, additional bibliographic styles
and import formats, flexible name formatting, simplified browsing and
improved documentation.

LIBRARY MASTER creates subject bibliographies, book catalogs, periodical
literature indexes and authority lists, as well as standard bibliographies
and annotated bibliographies. Reports can be created in many popular word
processor file formats.

The program creates bibliographies in 15 pre-defined styles or easily
designed personal styles. Version 2.0 adds several new styles, including
ANSI, American Chemical Society, American Anthropologist, American
Ethnologist, Biochemistry, Linguistic Society of America and updated
versions of the popular Vancouver and Turabian styles.

New options allow greater flexibility for personalized reports. Capitalize
desired fields, abbreviate names as initials, use "et al." in place of
excess names and properly handle name suffixes such as "Jr." and "III".

While browsing a database, records can be displayed in a brief view, which
shows several records at once in a table.

On a local area network, LIBRARY MASTER allows multiple-user databases,
with record locking to enable several users to edit and search a database
at once. The network version can maintain shared research databases for
workgroups, online catalogs for special libraries and archives, and
research bibliographies for faculty and students who are writing books or
theses.

LIBRARY MASTER imports from dozens of CD-ROMs, online information services,
library catalogs and databases. The new version makes it simpler to modify
import settings for custom sources. Optional MARC record importing
exchanges data with most library catalog programs.

The completely revised documentation features a new tutorial and expanded
explanations of error messages, importing and report design.

LIBRARY MASTER runs on any IBM PC compatible computer. The network version
works with Novell Netware and most NetBIOS compatible networks. The
single-user version of LIBRARY MASTER 2.0 costs $249.95 ($299.95 Canadian)
and the 5-user network version costs $749.95 ($899.95 Canadian).
