Magic Quest Announces New Discovery Learning Series
"Treks Line Turns Kids on to History, Ecology and the World"

Palo Alto, Calif., Nov. 1, 1993 - Magic Quest, formerly Earthquest,
announced today a new line of entertaining educational software products
called the Treks Discovery Learning Series. The Treks line was designed to
integrate the rich database resources developed for the company's original
products with new, exciting games created to capture kids' imaginations.
The first three titles in the series are Time Treks, Earth Treks and
Ecology Treks.

These products bring to life veritable encyclopedias of information with
action-packed games, a digital knowledge navigator named Bit-Bot and
brilliant graphics, sound and music. Whether taking a trip through time,
exploring the earth's ecosystems, or globe trotting with Bit-Bot, kids
will find years of learning fun with these content-rich multimedia
programs. The Treks line will also be included in Magic Quest's recently
announced 'Learning2" school software donation program.

Time Treks

Time Treks offers kids two ways to travel through time. In the game mode,
kids can draw on the program's vast archive of historical information and
prevent the cunning Time Tyrants from altering the course of history. In
the explore mode, kids can investigate over 5,000 years of history from
3400 BC, through the Renaissance, to today. Time Treks includes 170
timelines and themes such as 'Explorers', 'Age of Inventions', 'Empires',
'Art' and 'Civilizations'. The program's extensive contents are
interconnected and easy to explore making Time Treks an indispensable tool
for reports, research or just plain fun.

Ecology Treks

In this fast-paced survival game, kids use their eco-smarts to get Bit-Bot
safely through the Earth's many bio-climatic zones, ranging from the
aquatic to the tundra. Ecology Treks also features four interactive
biosphere simulators and a visual ecology archive containing thousands of
facts. From dry desert wastelands to steamy rain forests, Ecology Treks
lets kids enter numerous biospheres and explore the relationships between
earth's creatures and their natural environments in an entertaining yet
educational way.

Earth Treks

Kids join Bit-Bot on a grand interactive world tour in Earth Treks. As they
embark on this whirlwind trip across the globe, kids learn about
geography, countries, cultures, languages, world history and the
environment. No other product offers a more accessible, 'on-line archive'
of global information in such a fun format. Kids can click on the four
'windows of the world' and digitally explore topics under the headings of
'Earth', 'Journey', 'Environment' and 'World Tour'. Earth Treks also
features dozens of maps, charts and tables, games such as "The Master Map
Challenge", 150 thematically organized global subjects and more than 400
ways to be a Better Citizen of the World.

The Treks line will be featured in Magic Quest's school software donation
program, "Learning2". Specially stickered boxes of the Treks products and
of Math Ace, Magic Quest's new math program, will contain school computer
information forms. Once completed, these forms can be sent to Magic Quest
in exchange for special licensing privileges and a free copy of Magic
Quest software for the school.

Time Treks, Earth Treks, and Ecology Treks are available for the DOS and
Macintosh platforms. For the DOS platform, these programs require 286 or
faster IBM, Tandy/compatible PC; 640K RAM; VGA or better; hard drive;
