NCD REDUCES PRICES ON HIGH-END COLOR X TERMINALS

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov. 1, 1993 -- Network Computing Devices, Inc.,
the leading supplier of X Window System terminals, has reduced prices by
up to 22 percent on its highest-resolution RISC-based color and gray-scale
products.

Two color X terminals, the 19-inch NCD19c and the 17-inch NCD17cr,
previously priced at $5,995 and $5,395 respectively, NCD are now tagged at
$5,495 and $4,995. They are used primarily in computer-aided design and
engineering applications, color imaging, financial analysis and high-end
desktop publishing.
The gray-scale NCD19g, formerly priced at $4,495, is now $3,495. This model
is targeted at medical and photographic imaging and document imaging.

New prices are effective immediately on the units, all three of which are
based on the Motorola MC88100 RISC processor and offer workstation-level
high resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels.
Recently-named NCD President Judy Estrin said, "The price reductions are
possible because of economies of scale achieved with the MC88100 base that
is common to all three products.

It has been the foundation of our most successful group of products to
date."

Network Computing Devices, Inc., formed in February 1988, supplies X Window
System products which provide simultaneous access to networked
multi-vendor computers via workstation-style graphical user interfaces.
NCD is the leading worldwide supplier of X terminals, with a broad family
of color and monochrome X terminals in various screen sizes and
performance levels. The company's PC-X Division makes X server software
products for DOS and Microsoft Windows-based PCs, which integrate PCs into
X Window System environments.

NCD is publicly traded over the counter on the NASDAQ National Market
System under the symbol NCDI.
