CHEYENNE ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR NOVELL'S NETWARE CONNECT

ROSLYN HEIGHTS, September 8, 1993 --- Continuing its corporate strategy of
complementing and adding value to Novell's communications plans, Cheyenne
Communications, Inc., a subsidiary of Cheyenne Software, Inc. (AMEX:CYE)
today announced its support for NetWare Connect. NetWare Connect is
Novell's remote access platform that supports mobile and corporate users
for both inbound and outbound communications. NetWare Connect is a NetWare
Loadable Module (NLM) that allows network managers to consolidate their
core communications resources on a single integrated platform for secure,
cost-effective sharing and centralized management of those resources.
Cheyenne's FAXserve, as an NLM, takes an automated approach to network
facsimile services and will be integrated with NetWare Connect, allowing
users to remotely access inbound and outbound fax services.

FAXserve centrally monitors, queues, schedules, and processes fax
transmissions from a NetWare server. It eliminates the need for a
dedicated fax server, a dedicated workstation, or proprietary hardware.
Sending a fax is as simple as printing a document from a workstation. It
works with most DOS, Windows, or E-Mail applications, or can use any CAS
application to create and send documents. FAXserve provides multiple board
support and includes auto rescheduling, transmit/receive logs, and
accounting audit trails tied to the network.

In making the announcement, David Weingard, Director of Marketing, Cheyenne
Communications, stated "The introduction of NetWare Connect provides
another example of a superior server-based communications product. Today's
sophisticated user is continually seeking better methods of harnessing the
power of file-server hardware and network operating systems. Building a
NetWare-based communications server, with products such as Cheyenne's
FAXserve, Novell's NetWare Connect and NetWare Global MHS, is extremely
attractive from both a technological and financial point of view."

Cheyenne Software, Inc., founded in 1983, is a leading developer of
automated software solutions for NetWare, UNIX and DOS. Cheyenne currently
markets an array of security, backup and management products, including
Monitrix, FAXserve, InocuLAN, and the ARCserve family of software. The
company's products are sold on a worldwide basis through strategic
partnerships and an extensive distribution network.
