THE NATIONAL PARENTING CENTER AWARDS EA*KIDS OFFICIAL SEAL OF APPROVAL

SAN MATEO, Calif., November 17, 1993 -- Less than six months after entering
the children's software market, EA*Kids has won The National Parenting
Center Seal of Approval for two of its EA*Kids software programs,
Scooter's Magic Castle and Eagle Eye Mysteries. Both titles were released
in April of this year. EA*Kids is a division of Electronic Arts
(NASDAQ:ERTS), chartered to create entertaining children's software that
inspires a love of learning.

"These superb products are exemplary in their design and execution," said
David Katzner, president of the National Parenting Center. "They are among
the finest examples of educational software we have ever tested. We are
pleased to award them with the National Parenting Center's Seal of
Approval."

Scooter's Magic Castle, designed for children ages 5 - 8, features a castle
full of magical learning games. Over 20 activities reinforce process
learning skills such as matching, patterns, critical thinking and
creativity.

"It is quite apparent that when the folks at Electronic Arts began focusing
their attention on the children's computer software market they really did
their homework," states the National Parenting Center award. "Scooter's
Magic Castle is one of the most fun, exciting and colorful programs ever
submitted, but what makes it a runaway Seal of Approval Winner is that it
is also stimulating, educational and brilliantly executed. As children
guide Scooter through his castle, they encounter games and puzzles that
teach a wide variety of skills, including memory building, patterning,
colors, critical thinking and a host of tools that totally enchanted our
testers young and old."

For pre-teens and early readers, Eagle Eye Mysteries features Jake and
Jennifer Eagle as junior sleuths in their very own detective agency.
Players can solve over 50 original cases while sharpening deductive
reasoning and reading skills.

"Being able to entertain pre-teens is not easy task," states the National
Parenting Center award. Today's budding teenagers are more sophisticated
than ever and they simply won't stand for products that aren't innovative
and challenging. Eagle Eye Mysteries satisfies all of those requirements
in a computer program that demands deductive reasoning, fact finding and a
little luck. There is a lot of reading and thinking required here which is
one of the reasons our testers gave it high marks."
