New Magazine Delivers Client/Server Solutions to Sybase Customers

EMERYVILLE, CA, November 3, 1993 -- Sybase, Inc., the Enterprise
Client/Server Company, has launched SYBASE magazine, the first publication
to address the enterprise-wide client/server computing issues faced by
Sybase customers worldwide. Aimed at a highly targeted audience, the
quarterly magazine also provides computer-industry firms an effective
vehicle for promoting their client/server solutions. Distribution for the
premiere issue was 38,000 copies.

SYBASE magazine is aimed at executives and information systems (IS)
managers who architect, authorize, or manage the implementation of
computing environments based on client/server technology. Client/server
technology allows companies to distribute information across a range of
different computers linked by networks. The magazine examines technology
and market trends, solutions from Sybase and its 600-plus business
partners, and successful customer client/server installations.

"Sybase has always placed a priority on providing our customers and
business partners the information, services, and training they need to
successfully implement client/server-based computing solutions," said
Stewart Schuster, vice president of marketing for Sybase. "We are
expanding on this commitment with SYBASE magazine, a broad-distribution
vehicle for reaching our worldwide base of customers located at more than
10,600 sites, as well as our partners who deliver business solutions that
use SYBASE technology."
