WW2 AIR FORCE COMMANDER

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- November 3, 1993 -- Impressions Software is about to
release the second game in the Air Force Commander series, which focuses
on the "air wars" of the European theater of World War Two. This
real-time, strategic simulation of air combat follows the success of the
original by allowing players to recreate the earliest large-scale,
airborne conflicts, including the famous Battle of Britain -- the first
massive air war.

In this battle, continental Europe had fallen to Nazi Blitzkrieg attacks,
and Great Britain alone remained free and fighting. Without the years of
preparation the Germans had, the Royal Air Force had many fewer planes
than the Luftwaffe, the outlook was bleak. But with heroic bravery and
careful planning, the Spitfires and Hurricanes managed to stave off German
bombers for long enough for Britain to survive, and America to join in the
fight against tyranny.

This conflict, and many more, are simulated at squadron-level with WW2 Air
Force Commander. As commander, players will have complete control over the
air forces of up to a half-dozen nations, and must plan how to use each
squadron to best effect. Dozens of WW2 aircraft types are available, to be
located at one of several airfields, and ordered on defensive patrols or
offensive missions as the player sees fit. WW2 was responsible for the
development of radar as an integral part of air combat, so players are
provided with three levels of radar to view the battlefield with, from a
tactical overview to an enhanced geographical view. The goal is to secure
the safety of your key civilian and military sites, while attempting to
take out the enemy's strike capability or eliminate its will to fight!

WW2 Air Force Commander features the same real-time decision-making and
strategic challenge of the original Air Force Commander, controlled by the
same easy-to-use "point 'n' click" interface. 256-color VGA graphics, Ad
Lib music, and Sound Blaster digitized sounds and speech enhance the
gaming experience, and each of the fourteen historical conflicts can be
experienced from either side of the battlefield, creating a total of
twenty-eight scenarios.

Owners of the original Air Force Commander have been waiting for a "mission
disk" to add to their game for some time; this product contains both the
mission disk and game engine, and registered users can purchase it
directly from Impressions for the special price of $9.95 + $5
shipping/handling. Registered users will be notified of this offer by
mail, and by public messages on the major on-line services. Impressions
has decided to release the game as a stand-alone product as well, and it
will be available in stores and mail-order catalogs at the suggested
retail price of only $19.95.

The Battle of Britain inspired Winston Churchill to say, "Never in the
field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." With WW2
Air Force Commander, players will get to prove themselves worthy of such
praise on the battlefields of the sky!

WW2 Air Force Commander will be released on November 19.
