THE ONLY COMPLETE SOURCEBOOK ON INTERRUPTS FOR PC PROGRAMMERS IS NOW
UPDATED AND EXPANDED

January 3, 1994 -- Reading, MA-Addison-Wesley announces the publication of
PC Interrupts, Second Edition: A Programmer's Reference to BIOS, DOS, and
Third-Party Calls, the most complete reference guide to interrupt calls
available. Authors Ralf Brown and Jim Kyle provide programmers with a
concise description and essential information on each system call. The
book has been updated to include DOS 6, Windows 3.1, Novell DOS, and other
new APIs, and it is the only source of information on potential conflict
between calls from different APIs.

This comprehensive reference guide provides detailed information on
interrupt services and topics such as ROM BIOS, VCPI, DPMI, and DOS
extenders, and programming language support. PC Interrupts, Second Edition
is sure to save programmers from the time consuming task of having to
accumulate information from a wide variety of scattered and hard-to-locate
sources.

A companion volume, Network Interrupts: A Programmer's Reference to Network
APIs draws together all the information about network system calls,
including NetWare 4, NetWare Lite, Windows for Workgroups, and Windows NT.
It will be available in February, 1994.

Ralf Brown is an independent software developer and author who recently
received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon. He maintains
the well-known online "Interrupt List". Jim Kyle is Director of research
products and co-founder of Automation Resources, Inc. He also is
contributing editor/columnist for Windows Tech Journal. Both men are
coauthors of Undocumented DOS, Second Edition (Addison-Wesley, 1993).

Addison-Wesley is a worldwide publishing company based in Reading,
Massachusetts and is a recognized leader in the fields of computer
