EA*Kids Introduces Full-Color Art Center on Macintosh

Easy-to-Use Software Sparks Children's Creativity

San Mateo, Calif.--Dec. 15, 1993--The imagination and creativity of
children as young as three years old can be explored with EA*Kids' newest
release on Macintosh, EA*Kids Art Center, a combination electronic easel,
sketchbook, coloring book and art class all in one.

The artistic skills of children are developed with five colorful, engaging
activities--stickers, coloring book, costumes, paint box and block
art--each of which involves a range of variations that combine for hours
of entertainment. Creativity, an essential component of child development,
is nurtured with Art Center while computer literacy and other valuable
skills are simultaneously being taught.

Stickers comes with sheets of different kinds of stickers that can be used
to stamp anywhere on a background scene. Thematic examples include
dinosaurs and pirates, certain to capture the imagination of young
children. Coloring Book lets children choose a scene from a large
collection of black-and-white pictures, then color it in. There are 11
different backgrounds and a rainbow of electronic crayons, allowing the
child to create whatever their mind imagines. Costumes lets children dress
people up in different clothes, hairstyles and accessories. The variety of
characters with mix-and-match outfits will keep budding fashion designers
in the home fascinated for hours.

Paint Box allows children to draw and paint whatever they want. A wide
range of colors, funny paint brushes and different tools--each with its
own sound -- empowers children with the ability to create virtually any
scene they can imagine. Block Art enables children to build pictures using
blocks in different shapes and colors. This teaches them shapes and helps
them practice motor skills as they match colored blocks with a variety of
pictures.

EA*Kids Art Center is a creativity tool packed full of activities that will
entice children of all ages. A principal feature of Art Center is an
intuitive interface and a beginner's level so that children as young as
age three can produce artistic masterpieces in just minutes.
Three-year-olds will be fascinated by the stickers and coloring book
features. Kindergarteners will enjoy dressing different characters in
colorful costumes. And older kids can take elements from the stamping
section, put them into the paint program and create complex art projects.

Another important feature of Art Center is its printing capability. One
simple print function allows parents to print out their child's art work
so that it can be prominently displayed around the house. Black-and-white
art can also be printed to create custom coloring books.

The product retails for $49.95 and is currently available in leading
software retail outlets nationwide.
