WORLD LIBRARY LAUNCHES CD-ROM VIDEO SUBSIDIARY

New Cinerom, Inc, Business Unit to Publish More Than 150 CD-ROM Titles in
1994, Including $9.99 Home Video Titles on MPEG and Multimedia Bible
Series

January 6, 1994 -- (GARDEN GROVE, CA) -- World Library, Inc., the nation's
leading electronic publisher of classic literature, and Hollywood Select
Video Corporation have formed a new company to develop, publish and market
CD-ROM titles based on home video content, according to Sharon Hustwit,
president of Cinerom, Inc. The company will operate as a subsidiary of
World Library, Inc.

While Cinerom's initial title, The Gospels, A Multimedia Bible Guide, will
use SoftVideo full-motion video playback technology and will contain
thousands of pages of searchable text in addition to nearly an hour of
video and an hour of audio, the company's main thrust will be to market
full-motion, full-screen video products that correspond to popular, yet
"timeless" home video releases, such as The Three Stooges and Our Gang
series, said Hustwit.

"Eventually, the major motion picture studios will release their libraries
on MPEG, and other compatible platforms, because it is where the large,
consumer PC market is heading," she noted. "Cinerom hopes to beat the
majors into video distribution channels by distributing classic video
footage owned by its partner, Hollywood Select Video, thus foregoing the
arduous negotiation over rights to today's megahits. This will be
reflected in our low prices, as well."

Cinerom will release 150 home movie CD-ROM titles in 1994 using both MPEG
and SoftVideo technology. The MPEG titles will play not only on multimedia
personal computers equipped with an MPEG board, but on the newest
generation of television set-top devices that will also hit the market in
1994.

All of Cinerom's MPEG titles will retail for $9.99 each, yet will offer
superior video quality to VHS, said Hustwit. In addition, the MPEG format
allows for a wide variety of audio and video sampling of the material, and
the ability to jump from any spot in the movie or video to another.

The first MPEG titles to ship will be a Three Stooges retrospective
anthology; the first in a series of Our Gang titles; a Bing Crosby video
title; two Sherlock Holmes videos, each containing two half-hour
television episodes; three Superman cartoon collections; a Western motion
picture, Arizona Raiders; and episodes of the My Hero television show.

"Just as record collectors left vinyl for CD's in droves, we believe that
full-motion, full-screen video, first on the PC and then on a television
set-top box, will eventually replace both the VCR and laser disc," said
Hustwit.

Cinerom will initially occupy space in its parent company's headquarters in
Garden Grove, CA, but will function as an independent business unit. While
Cinerom will take advantage of World Library's technological and capital
resources, the company is expected to form its own distribution network,
including home video stores and mass merchandise retailers.

World Library's products are distributed by Compton's NewMedia, High
Technology and Sony Electronic Publishing, and are carried by thousands of
retail outlets, including Babbages, B. Dalton, BizMart, CompUSA, Computer
City, Electronics Boutique, Egghead Discount Software, Office Depot, Sam's
Club, Sears, Software, Etc., Waldensoft and Walmart.

At Winter CES, World Library and Cinerom will jointly exhibit in the
Multimedia World booth, Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall, Booth
#N-10037. For more information, contact World Library, Inc., 12914 Haster
