EOS v1.11

Jan 15, 1994 -- Melville, NY -- Man Machine Interfaces announces the
availability of a new version of their C++ Genetic Algorithm Application
Framework called EOS: Evolutionary Object System. This set of libraries
and Windows DLL's allows C++ programmers to add the robust search and
optimization power of genetic algorithms to both their MS Windows and DOS
applications. EOS v1.11 improves on the previous release by providing a
more flexible interface for integrating GA's with other technologies such
as neural nets. In addition, the new release contains extended support for
add-on tool kits (called GENEius Tool Kits). GENEius Tool Kits are
additional class libraries available from MMI that target specific
application areas and allow developers to quickly create sophisticated
genetic algorithm based systems in their area of interest. The first
available Tool Kit is called the Financial GENEius. It allows the
developer to combine the techniques of technical analysis of securities
(stocks, bonds, commodities etc.) with genetic algorithm based
optimization.

EOS allows a developer with little knowledge of the theory of genetic
algorithms to quickly create working applications. EOS is a set of genetic
algorithm components that can be put together in to create many variations
of the traditional genetic algorithm. Developers code the application
specific portion of their problem, and then try various genetic techniques
by simply instantiating different EOS classes.

EOS v1.11 contains over 80 classes and 200 pages of documentation. Eos
includes sample code for both Windows and DOS programs that demonstrates
how to create genetic algorithm applications in function optimization, and
combinatorial optimization. EOS v1.1 will retail for $139.00 and source
code is available at an additional cost. The Financial GENEius Tool Kit
will sell for $599.00.
