ELECTRONIC ARTS SHIPS ITS FIRST (MONSTER) 3DO TITLE: ESCAPE FROM MONSTER
MANOR

SAN MATEO, Calif., Dec. 23, 1993 - Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS) announces
the release of its first 3DO title, Escape From Monster Manor. It is
designed and programmed by Studio 3DO. Set in the sinister world of the
undead, Escape From Monster Manor is a fast-paced action game featuring
special effects made possible for the first time by 3DO's ground-breaking
graphical technology.

Having just innocently purchased a large manor and its surrounding grounds
the player now has to rid the property of ghosts and the other un-dead.
Armed with only a ghost gun, the player's mission is to recover the
scattered fragments of a broken talisman and zap any ghosts, grim reapers,
or specters who dare to get in the way.

The talisman had previously banished the forces of evil and secured peace
in the world. But a new, more powerful evil is abroad and the talisman has
been shattered. Only when all the pieces are recovered can the talisman's
power banish the forces of evil once and for all.

The search for the splintered shards leads to the area surrounding Monster
Manor. As the search unfolds, players must explore shadowy corridors,
clammy catacombs. eerie attics, a mysterious hedge labyrinth, a twisting
series of treacherous mud caves, and a graveyard.

Along the way, players can pick up extra ammunition, discover keys to gain
access to otherwise inaccessible areas, and collect health power-ups to
heal damage.

Featuring 32-bit color and translucency, a CD quality soundtrack, and
special graphical effects available only on the state-of-the-art 3DO
system, Escape From Monster Manor features action faster than that of
traditional home video game systems.
