The International Typeface Corp (ITC) and the Graphic Artists Guild (GAG)
Foundation have released a set of graphic symbols that promote accessible
places and programs to people with mobility, sight, or hearing
limitations. The groups developed the symbols to achieve clarity and
standardization, and more than 15 organizations representing people with
disabilities reviewed them. The symbols have not been trademarked or
copyrighted, and noncommercial distribution is encouraged. A Macintosh or
IBM PC disk may be purchased for $12.95 (plus 8.25% tax for New York
deliveries) from the GAG Foundation, 11 West 20th St, 8th Floor, New York,
NY 10011. Or call 212-463-8779
