ARIS ENTERTAINMENT DEBUTS TWO NEW MEDIACLIPS

Americana and New York, NY Catalog Geographical Glories of US Landmarks and
New York City; Features 100 Images, 100 Sounds, 25 Videos in Specially
Priced $29.95 Disc

(CES, LAS VEGAS)--Aris Entertainment has announced its fourteenth and
fifteenth MediaClips multimedia clip art titles, Americana and New York,
NY. The titles are compilations of the landscapes and landmarks of America
and New York City, respectively. Both titles will be available in MPC and
Macintosh formats on the same disc and include drivers for QuickTime,
Video for Windows and MPEG formats.

Americana and New York, NY each will retail for the special price of
$29.95.

Americana chronicles the cross-country photographical journey of
photographer Roger Goldingay, including images of the St. Louis Arch, San
Francisco's trolley cars, New Orleans' Bourbon Street, and many others,
for a total of 100 publication-quality images. Accompanying Goldingay's
photography will be music composed especially for the title by Bruce
Hanifan, a series of melodies with different musical styles to reflect
America's diverse regional styles.

New York, NY dedicates 100 publication-quality photographic images to the
subject of New York City landmarks, from the Statue of Liberty and
Rockefeller Center to the World Trade Center and Empire State Building.
This disc also features Goldingay's photography and the original
compositions of Joe Gershen, a collection of sophisticated uptempo jazz
numbers.

"These two discs are ideal for the arm-chair traveler," said Diane
Heppting, chairman of Aris Entertainment. "They're also an entertaining
and educational resource for multimedia presentation development."

Both titles include a self-running slide show of the 100 images. Aris'
built-in search engine is then used to locate specific images and sounds
from the disc. In addition, Aris' proprietary "picture picker" guides the
user to the best shot for each occasion via a full-screen photographic
matrix. All MediaClips titles also use SuperMac's CinePak
compression/decompression technology to efficiently store 25 run-time
videos. All MediaClips images, sounds and videos may be used royalty-free
in any presentation, provided credit is given to Aris Entertainment and to
the artists.

The inclusion of 25 full-motion, full-screen MPEG (Motion Picture Experts
Group) compatible videos on each disc is yet another step by Aris in
helping bring MPEG into the mainstream of the CD-ROM market, said
Heppting. By the end of the first quarter of this year, Aris will have
more than half a dozen MPEG titles, giving them one of the largest
selections of interactive MPEG titles of any multimedia publisher.
