ANNOUNCING NOTEWORK VERSION 3.0: Notework's Ugly Duckling Windows Interface
Comes of Age!

December 29, 1993 -- Notework, the #1 rated LAN E-mail, just got even
better with the unveiling of Notework E-mail Version 3.0. We've maintained
the simplicity and ease of use and installation that always made Notework
a hit, AND we've combined all that with a great new Windows interface and
other exciting features. Just look at what's new with Notework Version
3.0!

New Windows Interface! -- Everyone loved Notework for DOS, but to many, our
old Windows interface was just plain ugly! Well, not any more. We've
crafted a brand new Windows interface, and it's a hit! The votes are in on
Notework's new Windows interface, and it's a landslide victory. Our users
love it!

And you'll love our completely redesigned Windows interface as well. It
doesn't just look better; it works better too. Notework in Windows is now
faster, easier to use, and fully Windows-compliant, complete with the
dialog boxes, pull-down menus, graphics, mouse-driven interactivity, and
speed you've come to expect from all your Windows applications!

Notework under Windows is now completely "point and click." It has scroll
bars, full clipboard text functionality, and sizeable windows. Also, you
can select from among your Windows system's fixed-pitch fonts so you can
personalize Notework on your workstation.

No TSR Required! -- Unlike earlier versions of Notework that required the
DOS TSR, Notework Version 3.0 is a free-standing Windows interface that
provides full functionality without the TSR. Users who do load the TSR can
get notification of waiting mail even when they're not in Windows. No
reloading is necessary when a user changes environments.

Time-Saving Button Bar--Notework's time-saving button bar in Windows gives
you short cuts for all the most common mail commands--Send, Open, Reply,
Discard, Print and Put Away--with a single keystroke! The large buttons
and their colorful icons tell you clearly what each button will do, unlike
other application's so-called "smart icons" whose function can be
unclear.

Speed Read--In Windows, users can set up Notework so that every time it's
opened or maximized, new mail is tagged for immediate reading, with the
first piece of mail open.

Folders! -- For both the DOS and Windows user: Folders allow you
dramatically better organizing and storage of opened mail.

You can now file and organize E-mail into the categories YOU need.
Establish and name the folders that meet your needs, and organize your
E-mail simply and effectively. You can copy and move your E-mail notes,
including phone notes, to your folders and save and send notes to folders
also. Because you're able to store both incoming and outgoing E-mail
notes, folders are ideal for work in progress, projects and assignments.
Organize your folders to suit your needs, by function, by project, or by
whatever folder-name convention works best for you. Each user can create
up to 64 folders.

And in Version 3.0 for Windows, all the places you logically look for
mail--the In Box, Resume Box and Undelete Box, plus all user-specified
Folders--show up in the Mail window, in one easy-to-access list.

Font Selection--Windows users now have the ability to specify fonts in
which to display their note text. Users can select from any fixed-pitch
fonts available in their Windows system.

Full Windows Clipboard Text Functionality--You can cut, copy and paste text
using the Windows clipboard! Copy text from the incoming portion of a note
into your Reply, from an incoming Note to a new outgoing Note, and edit
Notes as you compose them using the mouse to highlight text. Quoting from
one note to another is easy, since you can display both an incoming and an
outgoing message at the same time. You can even cut and paste text between
Notework and other applications, including word processors, spreadsheets,
group schedulers, or any other text processor.

Sort by Mail Arrival Date--You can specify that your incoming mail box
display mail by oldest or newest note, and sort in ascending or descending
order.

Great News for DOS Users Too--Notework's DOS interface has long won support
from experts and novice users alike for its intuitiveness, ease of
operation, and ease of learning. And we've kept all that great
functionality, with minimal RAM requirements.

Still only 5K of RAM, or You Can Load Notework into High Memory--Notework
Version 3.0 still requires only 5K of RAM, great news for sites stretching
extra value and life out of old workstations. But for some applications,
even 5K of RAM can be too much of a demand, so Notework can be loaded into
high memory using QEMM or DOS 5.0.

PLUS, ALL THESE GREAT FEATURES:

50,000-name Searchable Address Book--Notework can handle up to 50,000 names
in a single, fully searchable address book. The address book is a full 80
characters wide. You choose and name the fields and determine how wide you
want them. For example, you could include first name, last name,
department, company and city, or you could add telephone extension, shift,
time zone, building, title, country or any other field that is important
to your organization. Searching for names is easy: as you type the first
letters of the name you're looking for, Notework automatically zooms to
the names that match, until you've found it. Any field can be searched.

Intelligent Subject Lines

Display the subject of a note before it's even opened. The subject line is
intelligent too, which means that if a user forgets to write a subject,
Notework plugs in the first line of the note as the subject. For phone
notes, the subject line includes the telephone number of the caller, so
you can start calling someone back even before you open the note, just by
seeing it in your list.

Re-FLASH

FLASH messaging just got even better: Now Re-FLASH someone else or the same
person again without having to re-create the FLASH.

1,000 Users Per Server and 100 Servers - and Still No Dedicated Server
Required!

Notework can link up to 100 servers and up to 1,000 users per server, to a
maximum of 50,000 total users without the need for a dedicated PC to act
as a mail server or post office. Notework does this by using the Novell
mailboxes which are created automatically on each server during
installation. Linking servers involves an incredibly simple one-step
command, NWXBIND, executed from any server on which you have Notework
users.

Expanded Wide Connectivity through MHS--Notework seamlessly integrates with
MHS and can even be run with a full MHS transport. Local and remote users,
regardless of where they may be, are all included in the same menus, and
all addresses appear in a simple first name / last name format with no
need for your users to ever remember long, complex E-mail addresses again!
Free connectivity to MHS comes bundled free with every purchase of
Notework.
