EA*Kids' Award-Winning Peter Pan Comes to Life on IBM CD-ROM

Macintosh CD-ROM Version to be Released in January

SAN MATEO, Calif., December 15, 1993 - In the first truly interactive
cartoon to be introduced to the children's software marketplace, EA*Kids
has Released the award-winning title, Peter Pan: A Story Painting
Adventure, on IBM CD-ROM. Peter Pan recently won the 1993 Parent's Choice
Award, a highly recognized award given to outstanding children's
products.

A totally new concept in children's software, this storytelling adventure
is designed especially for children ages 5-9. The title is the first in
the Story Painting series developed and published by EA*Kids, a
revolutionary interface of elements from story books, graphic adventures
and interactive cartons which allows children to direct the events in the
stories they read using magical, animated paint tools called Paintbox
Pals. The CD-ROM version offers a number of superior features, such as a
narrated voice over throughout the adventure and significantly enhanced
full-motion graphics, which creates the feeling of a truly living story
book.

In EA*Kids adaptation of the classic Peter Pan tale, children help Peter
rescue his friends from the evil Captain Hook by choosing creative
solutions to help Peter avoid danger. For instance, the child can choose
one Paintbox Pal and turn the pirate into a ballerina to watch him dance
away. Another Pal turns the pirate's threatening sword into a tasty
banana. With more than 30 scenes and hundreds of possible choices, the
only real limit on the way a child can tell their version of the Peter Pan
story is their own imagination.

Peter Pan reinforces a number of children's learning skills including
reading, creativity, cause and effect, decision-making and teamwork. The
educational component of the child's experience occurs while they are
captivated by this colorful and lively animation.

This unique title was designed by EA*Kids' world class production team
which included a Hollywood producer, Emmy award-winning musicians who
composed an original score, highly acclaimed children's authors, and a
Hungarian software development company known for its innovative software
design.

In addition to IBM and Macintosh CD-ROM, Peter Pan: A Story Painting
Adventure is currently available on MS DOS for IBM PC and compatibles. The
product retails for $49.95 and is available in leading software retail
outlets nationwide. Macintosh and 3DO versions of Peter Pan will be
released in early 1994.
