ARTISOFT NOW SHIPPING LANTASTIC NETWORK OPERATING SYSTEM v6.0

Offers Universal Client Technology & Integrated Communication Tools

(TUCSON, AZ - March 21, 1994) - Artisoft, Inc. announced today that version
6.0 of its LANtastic network operating system has begun shipping. This
upgrade includes significant feature additions and enhancements, including
a new universal client technology. The universal client technology
provides seamless desktop connectivity to Novell, Inc., Microsoft
Corporation and IBM Corporation network servers. An integrated
communication system includes advanced electronic mail, network
scheduling, faxing and paging features.

"We are pleased to deliver to our users and resellers what we believe to be
the most significant upgrade of the LANtastic network," commented Artisoft
President & CEO William C. Keiper. "The integration of these sophisticated
features has positioned the LANtastic network as a high-performance
business networking and communication product."

Artisoft has licensed NetWare Core Protocols (NCPs) from Novell to include
in the LANtastic v6.0 network's universal client feature. This NCP support
enables LANtastic workstations to access NetWare 2, 3 and 4 servers for
file and print services.

Pricing

The LANtastic v6.0 network is sold on a per node basis, with software kits
available that allow users to expand their LANtastic network one or more
nodes at a time. Those users on a LANtastic v5.0 network can also add
individual LANtastic v6.0 nodes and retain seamless connectivity between

version, with 5-,10-, 25-, 50- and 100-user kits available. Upgrade
pricing begins at $39 (MSRP) per node. These user kits include software
and documentation, allowing the user to choose from a variety of Ethernet
adapters to use with their LANtastic v6.0 network software, including
those adapters available from Artisoft and Eagle Technology.

The LANtastic v6.0 network is also available in starter kits that offer
users all the materials needed for their LANtastic installation, including
two NodeRunner/SI 2000/C adapters, a two-user software license and
cabling. These starter kits are priced at $519 (MSRP). Add-on kits include
one NodeRunner/SI 2000/C adapter and a one-user software license and are
priced at $239 (MSRP).

The LANtastic v6.0 network complements Artisoft's scalable line of

Simply LANtastic network for the small office/home office market and the
