BARANOF SOFTWARE ADDS WIRELESS SUPPORT TO MAILCHECK

Boston, MA -- March 14, 1994 -- Baranof Software announced today the
general availability of a Pager Alert package for its MailCheck Electronic
Mail Management System. Simultaneously, Baranof has announced that it has
entered into a co-marketing agreement with Ex Machina, Inc. to make Ex
Machina's Notify! Wireless Messaging System available for use with the
Pager Alert package.

The Pager Alert Package for MailCheck works in conjunction with MailCheck's
Alert Rules to allow E-Mail administrators to get remote notification of
problems in their mail systems. Under the co-marketing agreement,
Baranof will offer Notify! to customers who require wireless notification,
and Ex Machina will promote MailCheck in sites where Notify! is already in
use in conjunction with network management systems.

Pieter Ditmars, Vice-President of Development at Baranof Software is
pleased with the Baranof-Ex Machina agreement. "We initially planned to
develop our own paging software as part of the MailCheck system, but
decided that we should go with the market leading solution instead. This
agreement provides our customers with two proven technologies to meet
their notification needs: powerful alert rules in MailCheck and superior
wireless messaging reliability in Ex Machina's Notify!"

David S. Rose, President of Ex Machina, Inc. was also enthusiastic about
the agreement. "Many of our customers are using Notify! in network
management applications, but have been unable to integrate their E-Mail
management. We're pleased that we can now offer them the benefits
available in the leading E-Mail management system."

The agreement is welcomed by Tony Haux of Enterprise Network Services. "I
build complete E-Mail systems for large companies who use E-Mail for
mission critical operations. The system administrators need an assurance
of reliability, and pager notification is an important piece of this. I
'm pleased to give my clients a solution that integrates two "best of
breed" applications."
