HEALTH AND SAFETY INSPECTION SOFTWARE DEVELOPED FOR BADGER RUGGEDIZED
HANDHELD COMPUTERS

New Inspector Software/Computer Package Designed To Tackle Tough Problems
and Environments

Tampa, FL -- March 14, 1994 -- A new line of health and safety inspection
software has been developed for use in the Badger GT-486P1 ruggedized
handheld computer. Manufactured by Badger Computers of Tampa, the GT-486P1
is the first pen-based fully functional 486 computer designed for mobile
data collection, distribution, processing and communications under all
types of adverse field conditions. Badger Computers is a division of Group
Technologies Corporation.

The software, called The Inspector, was developed by Caring Partners, a
software development affiliate of Computer Professional Associates of
Monroe, MI. Computer Professional Associates is a value-added reseller
(VAR) specializing in networking software and hardware for industrial,
medical and government applications. Computer Professional Associates will
offer The Inspector packaged with the Badger computer for use by health
Inspectors, safety engineers, environmental sanitarians and industrial
hygienists. The Badger GT-l 10 handheld computer is also able to run The
Inspector.

The first version of The Inspector to be offered with the Badger is
designed for inspection of food service establishments. State regulations
and codes are encoded directly into the software. The inspecting agent can
log his inspection directly into the Badger, and even offer the
establishment's management/ownership a printed report on-site. The
Inspector then downloads the report from the Badger into the computer at
the main office.

"Because of their durability in extreme field conditions, Badger handheld
computers are the perfect platform for this software," says Fred Hardy,
executive vice president of Computer Professional Associates. "The
combination of the Badger and The Inspector should have a real impact on
the fields of health, safety and environmental inspection."

Other versions of The Inspector under development include water supply
inspection, sewage disposal, waste disposal, campground inspection,
ventilation, and an administrative package. The inspector will be packaged
on Badger handheld computers for distribution to resellers in mid- to late
1994.

"The teaming of the Badger and The Inspector demonstrates how ruggedized
outdoor computers can solve real-world problems," says Jim Jones, sales
manager for Badger Computers. "With the right software, there's no limit
to what Badger computers can do, or where they can do it."

The complete Inspector/Badger package will include an office desktop PC
loaded with The Inspector software, as well as six preloaded Badger
computers for use in the field. List price of the entire package is
$24,570 including all software licensing fees. The package is available
April, 1994 through Computer Professional Associates, telephone
313/243-3400, facsimile 313/243-4574.

The family of handheld and portable Badger computers meet rugged military
standards for resistance to all environmental conditions. DOS-compatible
Badgers are designed for mobile data collection, distribution, processing
and communications -- the needs of a broad group of potential outdoor PC
users, providing ruggedness, low cost, compact size and light weight.
