Copia's Fax-On-Demand Service Adds IVR Features

WHEATON, IL -- March 8, 1994 -- Copia International announces the addition
of IVR ("Interactive Voice Response") capabilities to their FaxFacts
interactive fax system. This new feature allows callers to have a
"conversation" with computers and information resources through touchtone
input. After the caller completes the series of questions, the needed
information is received. With FaxFacts IVR, callers can also leave voice
mail messages that can later be retrieved and/or stored.

"FaxFacts IVR offers businesses unprecedented flexibility by providing
unique customer information without adding support staff" said Steve

The FaxFacts IVR development platform can be configured to perform database
lookups, realtime document generation and on-line poling using preprocess
or postprocessing for information gathering. The system can be set up to
deliver the requested information on the same call or in a call back mode,
either by voice or by fax transmission. The IVR data is written to a
request file which is captured for later processing.

Some applications for the IVR feature include interim bank statements,
copies of cancelled checks, order status, and insurance policy details.
The union of two FaxFacts features -- IVR and Credit Card Charge-Per-Fax
-- creates what Copia president Steve Hersee refers to as an "Information
Vending Machine".
