Excel for Beginners is an introductory book for Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet
software. It's aim is to get the new user guickly up to speed. Written in
plain, everyday English, the book begins with the basics of working with
Windows, progresses to the fundamentals of spreadsheets and moves on to
working with Excel's menu system. The book moves at a comfortable pace so
as not to overwhelm the newcomer.

A lot of emphasis is placed on giving Excel spreadsheets a "polished" look.
Using many of the built in features, a new user will be able to turn
numeric data into impressive charts and tables and then to print them out
or pass the information to others.

In keeping with the aim to make the new user quickly productive, the
companion diskette contains a collection of 60+ ready-to-use worksheets
that can be used as is or adapted as required. Finally, we've included
Banania, a skill-strategy game that has nothing to do with Excel, but
serves as a reward for the reader's attention.
