Dunamis, Inc. releases Mac P.I. (PowerPad Interface)!!!!

Dunamis, Inc., a Suwanee-based computer company, has announced that they
are now shipping their new Mac P.I. (PowerPad Interface) for Macintosh
computer users. This new, interface will allow users to put the PowerPad
Into any Hypercard stack!

The Mac P.I. (PowerPad Interface) has mouse emulation, switch input and
output, as well as the traditional grid style input method. In addition,
the Mac P.I. (PowerPad Interface) has an exciting new method of input
called Gestural Encoding that records gestures as single input signals.
Gestural Encoding lets the user tell the PowerPad what input Is
appropriate. For instance, N a student with Cerebral Palsy has the range
of motion to sweep across the PowerPad, but not to apply a single point of
pressure, Gestural Encoding can recognize the sweeping motion of the
student as a single input! Thus, students who need access to Hypercard,
but cannot use traditional alternative devices can now use their PowerPads
to access the program.

Initial responses to Gestural Encoding and Mac P.I. (PowerPad Interface)
have been very enthusiastic! "Our teachers and therapists are thrilled
with the ease of use. A whole new world of users now can access their
computers with PowerPads and the Mac P.I. (PowerPad Interface)." Dunamis
President Ben Satterfield said. "We asked the teachers and therapists what
they wanted in a Macintosh interface for the PowerPad. They told us that
traditional grid style input was not enough and that they wanted the take
advantage of the features of the Macintosh. The Mac P.I. (PowerPad
Interface) gives this power to them, including the animation, music,
digitized speech, and graphics features that are part of HyperCard!"

In addition, the ability to run Apple ll Quick Start software and Toolkit 4
setups on the Mac P.I. (PowerPad Interface) through the IIE emulation card
is expected to be available by late fall. "Our users can bring their
Toolkit 4 and Quick Start software into their new Macintosh classrooms and
not have to start over building a software library for their students!"
Satterfield said.

The Mac P.I. (PowerPad Interface) and software retail for $250.00 and the
new Macintosh Starter kit which includes a PowerPad retails for $450.00.
