FutureLabs Adds Multi-Party Asynch Communications To Product Line

LOS ALTOS, Calif., March 24, 1994 -- For many business meetings, the
teleconference connection includes more than two people communicating
point-to-point. Often conference meetings require three, four, five or
more participants. Future Labs has a solution for those users that want to
add desktop document capabilities to these conferences, but do not have a
network.

The innovative leader in the desktop document conferencing market
introduces its TALKShow Multi-Party Async package to give users full
feature desktop document conference capability when modems provide the
only connectivity option.

"As desktop conferencing expands, many of our customers have requested a
modem-based multi-party solution," said John Chua, President of Future
Labs, Inc.. "We responded with this package and have introduced it at a
promotional price."

For TALKShow users that are not on a network, the TALKShow Multi-Party
Asynch package addresses multiple-point conference call requirements. The
bundled package includes a copy of TALKShow 2.0 with free unlimited guest
licenses and an eight-port asynch card with cables and accessories. The
8-port modem card is a high-performance eight-port card designed to
improve data through-put and increase the number of conference
participants on a PC. The modem card features include:

** 8 RS-232 or RS-422 asynchronous ports
** 12 Mhz 80286 processor
** Baud rate of up to 38,400 bps with 8 ports on-line
** Supports DOS (API-232), UNIX and Windows device drivers

TALKShow is a desktop document conferencing software package for Windows
which makes remote desktop conferencing more akin to a live meeting. With
TALKShow's electronic whiteboard on their desktop, teleconference
participants can view documents and reports on their computer screen, and
make changes on-line, in real time. Conference participants can also
conduct on-line presentations and slideshows using all of the features of
Microsoft's Windows including state-of-the-art color graphics.

TALKShow reduces the need to travel and meet in person, avoids multiple
exchanges of fax documents, and allows groups to communicate and visually
see the results of their efforts on screen. Because the program supports
TCP/IP and IPX communications standards, corporations can use desktop
conferencing over wide-area networks (WANs) and with their employees in
remote locations using a modem on standard telephone line, LAN network, or
ISDN line.

Founded in 1989, Future Labs develops and markets communication and
multimedia software for multi-party conferencing and remote meetings. The
company focuses on the needs of individuals in different locations who
must communicate ideas clearly and review information quickly. The
company's product, TALKShow, facilitates timely document reviews that
allow decisions and projects to be completed quickly and efficiently.
TALKShow complements the way business is done and helps to make faster
group decisions, allows users to communicate ideas visually with graphics
and data over telephone lines, this allows organizations to increase
productivity, solve problems interactively and reduce review time. People
using TALKShow today facilitate engineering design, project reviews, legal
contract updates, medical consultations, advertising design reviews,
financing, training and support.
