QuiltSOFT announces the Quilter's Design Studio For the Macintosh

Program features include:

Copy Block -- copying a block is a simple as pressing a button. One press
of the mouse button creates a copy of any block in the quilt.

Block Size -- The designer specifies the actual block size in inches. A
block can be any size from as small as 1.2" (or even smaller) to as large
as 48" (or even larger). There are no limits. The size specified is used
only to calculate the quilt yardage requirements and print quilt piece
templates.

Copy Quilt -- An entire quilt can be copied and then reused to design a new
quilt by changing colors, block styles, block size, number of blocks,
patterns, borders or sashes.

Borders -- Borders can be automatically added.

Library -- A library of quilt blocks: 1 patch, 3 patch, 4 patch, 5 patch, 7
patch, 9 patch, sashes, borders, stars and hexagons is provided. This
library can be expanded by the designer.

Flip -- Blocks can be flipped in any of the following ways: up-down,
left-right, diagonally top left to bottom right or diagonally top right to
bottom left. Rotate: a block can be rotated to any angle.

Color & Pattern Tools -- Blocks can be colored in any of the 256 colors
provided in scrolling color palettes. Each piece of a block can be
assigned 2 colors, a foreground and a background color. Patterns: Any
piece of any block can be assigned a pattern.

Quilt Block Design Tools -- Rectangles: A rectangle drawing tool is
provided to draw rectangular block pieces. Polygons: The most powerful
tool is the polygon tool. With this tool polygons of any number of sides
and angles can be created. Grids: Grids are provided for designing 4
patch, 5 patch, 7 patch, 9 patch and hexagonal guilt blocks. In addition
to these grids a 9x9 grid and a 12x12 grid are provided. Designs are
automatically aligned to grid boundaries.

Manual -- A manual with illustrated instructions for using the Quilter's
Design Studio and creating quilts and quilt blocks is provided. System 7
balloon help is provided.

Quilting Tools -- Templates: The Quilter's Design Studio prints full-size
templates with designer specified seam allowance. Yardage: The Quilter's
Design Studio calculates yardage requirements for each fabric type in the
quilt.
