STEREOGRAPHICS INTRODUCES LOW COST MODEL 241 TWO-CHANNEL MULTIPLEXING
SYSTEM AT NAB

Breakthrough System Transmits Two Excellent Quality Channels over Single
NTSC or PAL Channel; Ideal for Broadcast, Video Satellite, Microwave,
Coaxial Cable and Fiber Optic Delivery Systems

San Rafael, CA -- March 21, 1994 --StereoGraphics Corporation, the world's
largest supplier of three-dimensional electronic stereo display equipment,
is introducing the Model 241, a high-performance, low-cost, two-channel
full-color video multiplexing system at the National Association of
Broadcasters (NAB) show (March 21-23 in Las Vegas).

The self-contained Model 241 allows two high-resolution, full-color video
images to be simultaneously transmitted or recorded and played back with a
single VCR. Users are able to transmit two channels in the space usually
occupied by a single NTSC channel.
The system is designed for broadcast, video, satellite, microwave or
closed-circuit communications via land lines using coaxial cables or fiber
optic networks which require a high-quality image.

The excellent quality Model 241 is priced at $14,000, a fraction of the
cost of functionally comparable units priced between $40,000 and $80,000.
The Model 241 is available in May.

Wil Cochran, vice president of sales and marketing for StereoGraphics,
said, "The Model 241 is a breakthrough for the broadcast industry. It is
the first affordable, easy-to-use multiplexing system producing high
quality images. Based on viewer tests, the images are indistinguishable
from the original. In addition, the Model 241 saves money because it uses
half the transmission cabling of other systems -- hence the name,
"Two-for-One."

StereoGraphics Model 241 consists of separate multiplexing and
demultiplexing units. The multiplexing unit accepts signals from two video
sources, which need not be genlocked, stores them in buffers and
simultaneously generates a compressed output signal that can be
transmitted over a single standard broadcast transmission line. Outputs
are genlocked to an external sync reference with subcarrier and horizontal
phase adjustment. Once the compressed signal has been transmitted, the
demultiplexer unit converts it back to two industry-standard video signals
that can be displayed on two TV monitors.

The Model 241 is compatible with and can be used in conjunction with many
other multiplexing schemes so that the channel capacity can be expanded by
a factor of two (or higher). The system also works with all existing video
delivery systems such as VCRs and laser disk players. It has wide
applications including video broadcast transmission, cable systems,
teleconferencing, education and training, entertainment, manufacturing,
quality control, remote manipulation and industrial and corporate video
presentations.

In addition to the Model 241, StereoGraphics also produces the
self-contained CrystalEyes VideoSystem which enables high resolution
full-color video true stereoscopic 3D images to be simultaneously viewed
and transmitted or recorded and played back with a single VCR. The
CrystalEyes Video System is also NTSC and PAL compatible and works with
virtually all video equipment worldwide. The system requires no external
computer and uses standard video cameras, which are available as an
option.

StereoGraphics Corp., founded in 1980 and the world's leading manufacturer
of stereo viewing systems, invented and developed the market for modern
stereo imaging hardware. Due to its capability, reasonable price and
state-of-the-art technology backed by 14 patents, CrystalEyes stereo
viewing systems are accepted as the industry standard for stereo viewing.
StereoGraphics is located at 2171 East Francisco Boulevard, San Rafael,
California 94901, phone 415/459-4500, fax 415/459-3020.
