100+ New Products Scheduled for Launch at Software Development '94 &
Business Software Solutions

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 2, 1994 -- Software Development '94 & Business
Software Solutions Conference & Exhibition will be the focus of the
application development industry March 14-18, 1994 at the San Jose
Convention Center. The exposition in both low-level and high-level tools
for today's professional developers is evident as leading industry vendors
will showcase nearly 100 new products in the language, development and
client/server tools arena.

Professional Developers and IS Managers who need to evaluate the latest
tools and techniques for building software across powerful and well
designed client/server architectures will find the largest forum in the
world for insight, answers and products Tuesday through Thursday in San
Jose.

Several major companies have scheduled press announcements for the event:

Microsoft will give the inside story of their object strategy and OLE at a
press briefing on Monday, March 14, at 4:30pm in the Convention Center.
Find out about Microsoft's object model, its role in the industry and the
tools that will help developers navigate the road to Chicago and Cairo.

Microsoft will also announce its 1994 line of Visual C++ products. This
announcement will be held at 10am, Tuesday, March 15, in the Ballroom of
the Convention Center.

Oracle will be announcing their latest server product at 12 nooon on
Tuesday, March 15, in the Ballroom of the Convention Center.

Borland will announce the demonstrate a new version of their Borland C++
compiler and preview its upcoming Object Windows for AppWare on multiple
platforms. The Fairmont Hotel will host the event beginning at 7pm in the
Imperial Ballroom.

Powersoft/WATCOM will be making a major announcement concerning their
newest programming language product at 7pm, Wednesday, March 16, in the
Ballroom of the Convention Center.

Symantec will announce a new version of its Macintosh compiler, Symantec
C++ for Macintosh 7.0, and unveil new technology that could change the
future of software development. The announcement will be held Thursday
evening, March 17, at 7pm in the Convention Center's Ballroom.

This year's spring event, sponsored by Miller Freeman, Inc. is expected to
bring over 20,000 development and information systems professionals from
around the world to exchange ideas, interact with industry leaders and
learn from the more than 300 educational sessions.

Absoft will be introducing three new products: FORTRAN 77 SDK and C/C++
SDK, complete sets of native development tools for the Macintosh Power PC
and Fx+, the newest version of Absoft's multi-language, TIS compliant,
debugger.

Access Softek will show SOUNDTRACK which allows you to use your soundcard
to add, dub and edit any .AVI soundtrack. You can create your own video
soundtracks! Also, being shown is CDR Import, which allows importing
CorelDRAW images and files directly into Windows applications.

Acucobol will be releasing ACUCOBOL-85 version 2.3, an enhancement and
extension to V2.2 for the Windows and WinNT environments. Version 2.3 is
offered on all 650 supported platforms.

Ada Information Clearinghouse will be showing their FREE GNAT compiler for
the Ada 9x language on the SunSparc workstation under Sun-OS and the IBM
PC under OS/2.

Addison-Wesley Publishing will announce "The Programmer's Underground
Online Forum", their new CompuServe forum.

Advanced Software Automation announces Hindsight's new memory error
detection tool for reporting memory access violations and graphical dbx
debugger interface which provides an interactive, visual, replay of
program execution.

Aladdin Software Security will be showing their HASP protection system,
based on a hardware key containing a unique electronic developer code.

American Cybernetics will be demonstrating Multi-Editor for Windows, a
professional programming tool with full functionality for accessing the
entire Windows API via their macro language.

Atria Software will be exhibiting ClearCase v2.0, a software configuration
management development environment.

Autumn Hill Software will exhibit its multi-platform developer's tools,
including Menuet/CX and C++ GUI Application Framework.

AT&T Software Solutions Group will make the demonstration debut of the
Terranova Communications ETF Client/Server Tool Kit which allows
programmers to develop applications that run on corporate or departmental
servers to be graphically presented on local PC's using MS-Windows with no
windows programming.

Avanti Software will announce its first profiler for VB, Pinpoint. Pinpoint
helps find and fix bugs and can trace the flow of your C/C++ or VB
applications, real-time to an analysis windows, disk or printer.

Bender & Associates will be announcing SoftTest for Windows, a tool which
increases the effectiveness and efficiency of testing by automating
requirements-based test case design and test library management.

Blinkinc will be introducing Novlib 2.1, a real and protected mode
compatible Novell network function library for CA-Clipper and Blinker
3.01, a Windows linker, DOS extender and DOS dynamic overlay linker for
creating programs running in both real and protected mode DOS.

Blue Sky Software will be announcing RoboHELP v2.6, that turns Word 2.0 &
6.0 for Windows into a hypertext authoring tool capable of producing Help
files as easily as plain text.

Bristol Technology will introduce Wind/U 2.0, a portability toolkit for
Windows to UNIX with support for the Microsoft Win32 API and 32-bit
version of Visual C++.

Burton Systems Software will announce TBLI v5.01 which adds full, automated
conversion for old PVCS or MKS RCS archives, as well as new
"project-oriented mode".

Cheyenny Software will be showing their complete line of automated software
solutions for NetWare, UNIX and DOS.

Computer Associates is launching CA-Visual Express, a client/server access,
query and reporting tool with an intuitive and scalable interface.

Dallas Semiconductor will announce Dallas SignOn, a new product line for
PC-LAN's based upon Dallas' Button technology.

Edinburgh Portable Compilers will announce EPC FORTRAN 90, a complete
implementation of the latest ANSI standard language, featuring modular
program design and advanced array handling for increased functionality.

Elan Computer Group is announcing expanded support for the Elan License
Manager for the Windows-32 S environment. The technology enables software
developers to provide a consistent license manager for cross platform
applications.

EliaShim Microcomputers will announce ClockPlug that gives the capability
to control the number of days DOS, Windows and OS/2 software executes.

EllTech Development will be showing programming tools for PowerBasic 3.0
and Visual Basic 3.0.

FairCom Us will announce their Hetergeneous SQL Server which allows
dissimar clients to connect to the same server. thus affording complete
data sharing from any type of machine architecture on the network.

Fractal Design will announce Dabbler, a learn-to-draw-and-paint program
that teaches anyone how to create color artwork in minutes.

Franz will be previewing AllegroStore, a high performance,
production-quality object-oriented database management system for Common
Lisp development.

Genus Microprogramming will preview GX Images 1.0 which allows the import
and export of bitmapped images in many file formats, GX Effects 3.0 which
allows developers to use special effects in their programs and GX Graphics
3.0, a comprehensive graphics library written entirely in Assembly
language.

Gimpel Software will show FlexeLint for C/C++, a tool for analyzing a mixed
suite of C & C++ modules and report on bugs, glitches and
inconsistencies.

Glenco Engineering will be announcing a family of six new products for
their hardware-based software and data security systems, including
Extended Memory Hardlock.

Ted Gruber Software will highlight Fastgraph 4.0, a powerful, low-level
control for the video environment supporting 16 & 32-bit protected mode
programming for most popular compilers and DOS extenders.

Knowledge Dynamics will demonstrate WINSTALL Multi-Platform Pack, an
installation toolkit for developers that allows creation of distribution
product disks that can be installed on either DOS, OS/2 or Windows.

Lahey Computer Systems will introduce their 32-bit PC FORTRAN 90 language
system which offers a full implementation of the FORTRAN 90 Standard and
the optimized performance of the 386, 486 and Intel Pentium processors.

Liant Software will be announcing C++/Views 3.0, an object-oriented
application framework for developing multi-platform, native GUI programs
using C++.

Mainstay will be introducing VIP-C & VIP-BASIC, powerful visual programming

Metaphor will show their new Capsule for Windows that enables Windows users

MetaWare will announce three new 32-bit optimizing compilers: High C/C++

Three D Graphics will announce PIXELLOOM family of Photoshop compliant
filters using advanced rendering techniques.

Time Arts will announce Signature C++ 1.1, a fully object-oriented graphic
class library with sophisticated graphic capabilities and cross-platform
portability.

ViewSoft will debut Utah for Windows/Windows NT, which eliminates writing
GUI code in the development of GUI-based applications.

Vermont Creative Software will be demonstrating Vermont HighTest, a
sophisticated testing program designed specifically for Windows
developers.

VZ Corporation will announce the VisualiZe Toolset allowing non-programmers
to select inter-connected library components to develop productive
applications without programming skills.

Wacom Technology will show their UD Series of advanced graphics tablets for
illustrators and designers.

Western Wares will announce CC-RIDER for Windows, version 5.0, a
full-featured browser for C and C++.

Wilson WindowWare will be showing WinBatch 5.0, a universal macro language
for integrating Windows programs for network professionals.

XDB Systems will announce plans to provide and XDB-Workbench (PL/I) that
will allow those developers to migrate their PL/I development and
maintenance applications to the desktop. They will also be demonstrating
XDB-Workbench for CA-Realia II and their ODBC Driver which gives XDB
Customers client/server capability by allowing front end tool support.

Zinc Software is introducing Zinc Application Framework 3.6, which gives
innovative suport for global software development.
