SAN JOSE, Calif, - May 11, 1994 -- Sport Accolade, recognized as a leading
publisher of sports simulations, today announced All-Pro Video Football,
for IBM PC CD-ROM and Apple Macintosh CD-ROM. Officially licensed by the
National Football League and the NFL Players Association, All-Pro Video
Football simulates an All-Star game utilizing the names and statistics of
51 real players from the NFLPA and the team logos of the American and
National Football Conferences. The product takes a giant leap forward in
bringing real video to the personal computer by being the first to
incorporate original video footage into an interactive football game. The
game will also feature color commentary from Al Michaels and Pat Haden.
All-Pro Video Football will be available in September with a suggested
retail price of $69.95.

All-Pro Video Football is one of the first products to utilize "Script X,"
a new technology that enables the compact disc to run on either an IBM or
Macintosh CD-ROM drive. Script X is developed by Kaleida Labs, Inc., an
independent, privately held joint venture of Apple Computer, Inc. and IBM
Corporation. It is the industry's first object-oriented authoring language
designed specifically for multimedia applications.

In All-Pro Video Football, up to two players "coach" a team of NFL
All-Stars, based on recent All-Pro teams of the AFC and NFC. Coaches
select plays just like a real game. The results are then played out in
full-motion color video, using original footage shot specifically for
All-Pro Video Football. "Numerous attempts have been made to create
football simulations using existing stock NFL footage, but these products
have been limited by the content of the available film clips," said Todd
Thorson, co-producer of the game. "By staging and filming more than 600
actual football plays, All-Pro Video Football can re-create literally
thousands of football scenarios." Sport Accolade contracted the Orlando
Predators of the Arena Football League to portray the NFL stars for the
product.

In this coaching style football game, players can customize their computer
opponent to match a current NFL team's style of play. For instance,
selecting the New York Giants for a predominantly running attack, or the
Houston Oilers for a passing attack. The extensive computer artificial
intelligence will learn the coaching tendencies of each player and will
adjust its game plan accordingly. Once a player's name is logged in, the
computer will remember how he played from game to game and constantly
adjust, forcing coaches to change their strategies often and not run the
same plays over and over again. The instant replay feature provided allows
players to review memorable plays using the VCR-like controls.

All-Pro Video Football offers a familiar TV-style interface with colorful
graphics and information boards, including real player stats for a key
player in each play. The game will keep track of standard player and team
stats from a game or a series of games. The product also provides players
with three different computer skill levels and three game lengths: 60
minute full game, "Final Drive" mode, and sudden-death overtime.

Adding authenticity to the product will be CD quality play-by-play
announcing from legendary sportscaster Al Michaels, along with pro and
college football analyst, Pat Haden, adding color commentary. Their
commentary will include descriptions of the on-field action and background
on the NFL players' careers, all geared to re-create the experience of
watching a live football game on television.

"Everyone from football novices to gridiron experts will be able to play
this game," concluded Thorson. "I think CD-ROM owners will also appreciate
the extent to which we have gone to capture the realism. We have
incorporated original video footage, all shot specifically for this game
and created a truly interactive football game. Now armchair quarterbacks
can call the plays themselves, then watch the computer play them out. This
game has features no other CD-ROM football game offers. I believe every
football fan owning a CD-ROM will want this game."
