Introducing BeingThere PRO
The Next Level of Communication

PHILADELPHIA, April 5th, 1994 The telephone replaced the telegraph. Then
came faxes, e-mail and video conferencing. Now, BeingThere PRO, corporate
workgroup conferencing software from Intelligence at Large, Inc., brings
communication to a new level.

BeingThere PRO, a software-only solution, lets you use your networked
Macintosh or Power Macintosh to talk and see each other, as well as share
documents, all in real-time.

While you can hear others in a conference call and you can see others in a
video conference, BeingThere PRO offers you both from your desktop. In
addition, it lets you share any file created in any Macintosh application
from a Microsoft Word document to an Excel spreadsheet or an Aldus
Persuasion slide presentation. Plus, you can seamlessly and easily
transfer and copy clipboards, files or entire folders.

"How many times have you been on the telephone and in your effort to
describe something you say, 'now picture this'," said Cartwright Reed,
president of Intelligence at Large, Inc. "With BeingThere PRO, you can
show it, say it and share it. BeingThere PRO succeeds where e-mail falls
short because it addresses the major problem companies face today: working
and making decisions with people at other locations, whether they are on
another floor, in another building or in a different country."

How It Works

You're working on a product introduction with a colleague who is located in
the company's corporate headquarters in another state. Normally, you would
fax, e-mail and overnight deliver materials. And, then, wait for a
response.

With BeingThere PRO, you can discuss a project's status using the
Macintosh's built-in speaker and microphone. And, by connecting a camera,
you can see each other while you're talking, as well as show a live or
taped product demonstration. You can even show a QuickTime movie.

Then, open another window to show an Excel spreadsheet with sales
projections. And, if you want to change a number, the changes are
transmitted live. Finally, if you want them to have a copy of the launch
plan, you can copy the document onto their hard disk.

Easy to Use

BeingThere PRO uses any off the shelf Macintosh networked with either
Ethernet or Token Ring, LocalTalk users have limited functionality.

Communicating with BeingThere PRO is as easy as communicating using e-mail.
If you want to communicate with more than one person, simply type in their
names. When the connection has been established you can start working as
if you were in the same room.

Business TV

The addition of any video device, VCR or camera turns a Macintosh running
BeingThere PRO into a synchronized real-time audio and video conferencing
system.

BeingThere PRO lets you connect a VCR to a central machine on the network
and broadcast live television, training videos or any type of video to an
entire office. Video windows are resizable with resolution up to 160 by
120 pixels. System Requirements
BeingThere PRO requires a Macintosh 68030 or better, System 7.01 or later,
4MB RAM for single calls and 5MB RAM for multipoint.

It requires an Ethernet, Token Ring or LocalTalk network. All Macintoshes
can receive audio and video, share windows and transfer files. Sending
audio requires a Macintosh with a built-in full duplex sound input support
(all Power Macintosh models and all Quadra and Centris models except the
605). Sending video requires a Macintosh with built-in video input
(Macintosh AV computers) or a compatible third party video input product.
