Original Domain Virtual Worlds Productions

Creates Active 3-D Worlds that Respond to Users' Actions

NEW! FLASH! EGGHEAD SOFTWARE SIGNS UP FOR NATIONAL DISTRIBUTION IN FIRST
WEEK OF CRYSTAL WALLS LAUNCH! MORE RESELLERS TO COME!

May 27, 1994 -- (Seattle, WA) - Domain Virtual Worlds, Inc. today announced
Crystal Walls 1.0, a brand new product type for Microsoft Windows. This
new software uses 3-D animation to create virtual worlds behind the
screen, with characters that continue their interactions while the user is
performing other operations.

Crystal Walls combines high-quality artwork with active computer displays,
enabling the user to see and even interact with 18 stunning animated
worlds. More than a dozen award-winning artists and 9 programmers
collaborated under the direction of Joseph King, President of Domain
Virtual Worlds, to create compelling 3-D spaces that prompt "ooohs and
aaahs" from even the most jaded computer users.

The Domain Virtual Worlds productions include:

1 . Serengeti Savanna
2. Bert the Windows Washer
3. Superheroes: NightMask and Twilite
4. Fruit Punch Pool Party
5. Gargoyles
6. 13 Sharpeis (Chinese Bulldogs) Contemplating the Universe
7. Zen Sages: Satori Sky
8. Northwest Coastal Indian Designs Mobile
9. Chinese Papercut Designs Mobile
10. Saturn Above Titan's Sky
11. Earthrise
12. Koi (Carp) Pond
13. RGB Madmuds Hit the Screen
14. Utah: Brunch at Courthouse Wash
15. Northwest Coast: Lunch on First Cove
16. Program Managers: Gnomes in the Monitor
17. Fashion Show: Vogue Pose
18. Cowboy Bar: The High Line

Graphic artist Michelle Drewien, production director for Crystal Walls and
the artist for the Serengeti Savanna and Gargoyles worlds, said at the
announcement: "I've worked on award-winning products for larger companies,
such as Multimedia Toolbook (Asymetrix Corp., Bellevue, WA), but it was
more exciting to pull out all the stops and do really creative online art.
As an artist, it's a whole new and thrilling way to work - in three
dimensions with the animated worlds technology Domain has developed."

Bill Pytlovany, programmer for the Thirteen Sharpeis Contemplating the
Universe world and formerly head of PC development at America Online, Inc.
(Vienna, VA), said: "Making virtual worlds in Windows was way cool,"
adding it was "great to work with top-notch artists and use the technology
to create a believable 3-D space behind the screen."

"It's better than a screen saver." adds Joseph King. "Screen savers are fun
mostly when you're not there. By keeping its worlds active while you use
other applications, Crystal Walls provides instead a playful, personal
space in which to work." King's first task as President was to "meld
together the best talents for this new multimedia style - outstanding
traditional and computer graphic artists, sound designers and 3-D
animation developers - with our 'virtual worlds engine.' The successful
marriage is clear in these first 18 worlds. Building on our interactive
animation technology, Domain will continue to offer innovative products
that give people computers with more personality."

Crystal Walls 1.0 is available immediately at the special introductory
price of $49.95.

After December 31, 1994 the suggested retail price is $59.95.

Crystal Walls runs on any Windows 3.1-compatible PC with a minimum
recommended configuration of a 25 megahertz 80386 with 4MB of RAM and a
standard VGA monitor (supporting 16 colors). A Super VGA monitor
(supporting 256 colors) will knock your socks off with lush textures and
photorealistic details. Crystal Walls enhances the desktop without
significantly affecting systems performance. For users with multimedia
PCs, professional sound effects add another special dimension. No CD-ROM
is required.

Domain Virtual Worlds produces 3-D animation technology that combines
active characters with high-quality artwork to create a compelling,
personal space for computer work and play. Domain Virtual Worlds, Inc. was
founded in 1993 to bring a new generation of graphical entertainment and
system utility software to Windows.
