millennia ago, a dedicated band of five outcast heroes called FireTeam
Rogue all that stand between the evil Umbran empire and its diabolical
plans for the Dark Talis of Kangor Thrag - the ultimate weapon of
destruction.

Scheduled for release by Accolade in time for the end of the year holidays,
FireTeam Rogue is a mixed genre science-fantasy adventure for Sega Genesis
and SNES fans. FireTeam Rogue combines for the first time in a single
game: Hand-to-hand combat, puzzles, exploration and flight combat.

Join Chance, Zeut, Aja Dae, Broc and Shadowblade in hair-trigger
hand-to-hand combat with monstrous hordes; explore mind-bending puzzles
and mazes; and climb aboard a Kierion battle wing for airborne fighting
action in a 3-D flight simulator. Produced and designed by John Skeel,
FireTeam Rogue challenges gamers with nearly 100 yours of intriguing
mystery, action and excitement in this richly textured, science-fantasy
adventure.

Each character is equipped with multiple punches, kicks, leaps and other
combat moves as well as special weapons and powers unique to each
character. Together, they are FireTeam Rogue. Their mission: to guard the
Dark Talis of Kangor Thrag, a weapon of incomparable power, at all costs.
Should Umbran forces gain control of the Dark Talis, the worlds and suns
of the Spiral Arm would be doomed to eternal enslavement.

Players explore several different and complicated worlds, defeating enemies
as necessary and collecting power ups and keys. The levels include - the
Amulet, the Red Citadel, the Temple of the Eye, the Caverns of Watermurk
and the Fortress of the Iron Plains. Each consists of multiple, side view,
inter-connecting levels connected by "warp" doors. The levels contain
devices such as extendible bridges, doors, elevators and special talis
devices. Enemies protect important keys to the puzzle and range from small
bat-like creatures to dungeon guardians and monstrous beasts. Players move
freely from level to level via a flight simulator, battling Umbran
fighters and missiles in exciting flight combat while choosing their own
path and method of solving the game.

Having discovered a way to reach the labyrinth beneath the Iron Plains on
the world of Terrak Xum, the player must defeat the boss (a dark lord of
Umbra called Demus), reclaim the Dark Talis and escape back across the
Umbran front.
